can I delete unneeded RTP music files?

I'm trying to make a game that is very very small in size. So far I've eliminated 75 megabytes by reducing my imported .wav files. Can I delete the stuff in the RTP file that I am not using? Charsets, chipsets, titles, systemfiles, as long as I keep the folder and the ones I use in there?
Can I make my own RTP file? I read not to ever ever touch the RTP or I would get wierd error messages.
Thanks.

RTP isn't included in your game unless you want it to be...
in other words: no, don't delete RTP, but just don't include it in your game download.
as for making your own RTP i'm entirely uncertain.

My game will use some of the RTP files, so the person who plays my game will have to have RTP.
And my understanding is the person can't play the game unless they have RTP. So if they don't have RTP, and I am giving it to them for the first time with my game, can it be, like half its size?
This may screw up other games for them, though, if they think they have the rpg2k RTP.

just importing the RTP graphics that you want to use instead of using them straight from RTP is the easiest option that comes to my mind. That way your game stays small, and you can still use RTP.
But make sure all files that you use are included. otherwise it won't work.

Unfortunately, you can't create your own RTP, because even if you don't include any of it, it will still look for those files on a different computer. For example, if you put a charaset named Joe into your RTP, and send your game to your friend, it will look for Joe in the RTP folder, and since it isn't there, the game won't load.
If you plan on distributing your game, it's best to state what version of RTP you're using (for example, if you're using RPG Advocate's translation, state that your project uses Advo's translation). I believe that if you modify the RPG_RT.INI file somehow, it automatically includes the RTP in your game, but I don't remember how, exactly.

Good thing I didn't delete the RTP. I do remember some tutorial I saw about changing the ini to not include RTP. I looked in the rpg2k don Miguel help files and here is a note he included:
"On a side note, I have not tried this idea, but if you imported the files from the rtp folders that you need, and when you make a gamedisk select to not include rtp (run time package) in the gamedisk, maybe it will be a fully working game on computers that do not have rm2k installed, the chances are slim that it will work, but has anyone tried? I will and update in a later FAQ."
- Raw material import/export, help files rpg2k
I wonder if that worked. I guess if what you say is correct, if someone has their own RTP, my game will look for it.
Also, I could make my file names really obscure, so that they aren't in anyone elses RTP. Like all of them could start with the word zany. Zanybasis.png, zanycharacter_01.png, etc.
