Anyway, there has been alot of discussion about rap and Tupac and liking/not liking him etc. Anyway I just thought I would help clear things up......maybe.......
The reason why Tupac was the greatest was because he was real. Today, the world of hip hop is filled with a bunch of fake "gangstaz" who's criminal record is probably to speeding and jaywalking, while they talk about "murder and crack". All these new rappers can seem to think about is partying, sex, large behinds, rims, weed, and expensive clothing. Although they might of come from "the hood" they are still not hard. Now if you think way back to Run DMC and all that old stuff, rap used to be about getting a message across about life, often on poverty, racism, and other issues, not doing the "rockaway" or tha "A-town stomp". Tupac, although he does have a few party songs (california love etc.), his songs have message. I will give examples-
Brenda's Got A Baby-ghetto crisis of young impregnated girls
Changes-racism and degradation of own race "we went from brothers and sisters to b*tches n niggas" and basically the state the world is in
Letter To My Unborn Child-tells the story of his life and how he would want to raise his kid, if he had one
Catchin Feelings-shows how close tupac and his westside companions, the outlawz were
Till The End Of Time-asking God to heal him
Thug Mansion-a wish for an escape from thug life where all the thugs can live in peace
and all that good stuff, plus other favorites like ambitons as a rider and hit em up
today, it seems rap has been reduced to lil johns raspy gibberish and g-uniits bullsh*t
even if you dont like rap (and in the state its in now i cant blame you) i hope you would realize tupac shakurs powereful messages
or you could just get Tupac Ressurection on On Demand for 4 bux and learn even more

u know, thats why i don't like rap. cos they r all wanna be bitchs. Tupac wasn't. U see i don't hate him, i respect the fact that the music he made had some reason behind it. I don't respect the fact that he was a gangster.

It is in creative arts because this is where the rap misunderstanding took place
