here ya go yall...
can i add a suggestion too? i think that the char sets could be more customizeable if you could add eyes over a base face, and mouths, and stuff like that... this would allow us to make char sets that had emotion like crying, angry, and all that, without sticking to one face. Cuz currently as it stands, you cant make a darkskinned person cry with the resources allowed. I know someone could just upload a face graphic, but since this is a generator, dont you think it would be cool if you generated every aspect of the char, including his face? I know there isnt much room, but i mean eye color would at least be decent. This could eventually spawn to putting clothes together, such as choosing sleeves, shirt base, pants, shoes, etc. etc.
I bet a million people mentioned this idea already... 1,000,000,001 here...
Also, i think that the base should have the ability to be configured like the layers do. You know, the layers can choose to be hidden and shown between the body and all that for accessories. Well i think the base body should have the ability to be completely still the entire time, instead of every char set having a walking graphic. This would allow me to use THIS generator to make a talking/screaming char icon for EACH character rather easily! So instead of having left middle right in 4 rows, it would have 4 rows of 3 frames of the body standing still!

all the things you just said can be easily done in Idraw, I don't see why we need to change our whole charas project like that, it's already hard enough now ...

for pixel art, Idraw does the job, and it recolors very easy, but for my banner work and designing stuff I use PS6

I prefer Paintshop Pro 7.. I don't need a load of fancy gadgets as I mostly work with pixel art anyway. It's not photoshop but I find it a lot more useful than something like paint or idraw. I can also recolor very very quickly with colorize and I've figured out how to do it without altering the palette much either.

the only problem i have with photoshop is the fact that it likes to change the first color in your pallete a lot when you switch back and forth between RGB and Indexed Color modes... it sucks. Then when you import into rm2k3, you see the outlines of all your guy's flashing (which means thats the transparent part), and im like, DAMNIT!. So i have to open photoshop, change the first color to some color not used (which is often difficult), and then go back and find that color i just changed in the picture and change it back to what it originally was

When importing and the transparent color is wrong, you can just click on what you want the transparent color to be instead of going into photoshop and changing a bunch of stuff.
