HELP! (Faceset generator)

If I create a face set and then save it on my desktop its not the right file.
If I want to import it, I cant see the file, so i know, it isnt evn an image file. BUT WHAT THE HELL IS IT THEN? I cant open it with paint or Darkwings RPG Graphics maker either!
HELP ME!

There are already about 25 other topics asking this same exact question, but anyways, put .bmp at the end of the filename.
