I believe you create a new map on your game and go into your games map folder and there should be a new .idu (I think) file. Take the map your friend made and name it the numbr of that new map in your folder and delete the new map in your folder and replace it with your friends map.

I believe that you must also have the chipsets in your rpg maker for it to work.
Copy the map which should be a LMU file, then name it map. . . etc.
then paste it in the same place where your RPG_RT is located.

You can't just paste it into your folder. Map a new map, rename the map you want to put into your folder to have the same name as the new map, then paste that map over the map you just made. You must also include all the graphics and bmgs that were on that map, and set them up accordingly.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN
