To Save the World

This is not a joke game. I've just begun making it, so don't hassle me about screen shots yet. Here's the game info.
The world of Cephira has been at peace since the evil warlord, Garameth, was sealed away in the Temple of Spira 1000 years ago. It took the strongest mages, summoners, warriors, knights, everyone, to stop him. But he was stopped and sealed deep inside the temple where he was to never be awakened. However, an evil organization known as the “Dark Fallacy,” is trying to unseal Garameth. They wish to unseal this great power because they want to rule the world with an iron fist and make the world bow before them. There is a counter-acting organization though. They are known as the “Angelous Maxima.” They fight against the Dark Fallacy in hopes of preventing the unsealing. Unfortunately, they keep getting tripped up by the Dark Fallacy, and are always behind them. Now, it’s a battle to save the world and prevent what happened in the past.
Characters
Klyde Orassi
Age- 18
Weapon- Sword
Class- Swordsman, Warrior
Klyde is a swordsman who was taught swordsmanship by himself. He was raised by a priest in a small town and has become quite religious. His swordsmanship and reiligion are the only things Klyde can really take seriously or focus on without getting bored. His best friend, Omaul is a cleric and both have helped each other through a lot of hardships and problems.
Omaul VanDrasinhauf
Age- 17
Weapon- Staff
Class- Cleric, Healer
Omaul is a quiet kid who has lived in the same town as Klyde his whole life. He went to church schooling with Klyde and has always cheated for Klyde, just so the dumber of the two would pass. Omaul uses the powers of healing, passed down by his father. Omaul is a loyal friend and does anything Klyde askes of him.
Linne Arion
Age- 19
Weapon- Rod
Class- Battle Mage, Magic Caster
Linne is a girl who was born with magical abilities. She has learned the black arts in order to use them against her foes without having to be physically powerful. She believes in no God, which makes her and Klyde opposing characters, but they somehow manage to get along.
Trina Borrus
Age- 18
Weapon- Axe
Class- Knight, Axman
Trina is a knight bred to fight for her lord and sovereign. She is the daughter of the head of the knights and is expected to be just as headstrong as her father. She follows in his footsteps, but wishes she did not have to. She wants to live her own life, free of knightly vows and oaths.
EDIT: Just so you know, everything is going to be RTP, except the facesets.

You do know Spira is the world of FFX, right?

Holy crap. I forgot. I'm gonna change it. I want my game to be in no way affiliated with FFX.

To tell the truth, I don't really like it.
First off, its increadably cliche, the whole idea has been used so many times, its just dull. And if this group does "unseal" this mage, why would they think that
they
would be the ones to rule the world.
But all that matters is that you enjoy working on it, so good luck

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

Ok, here's the plan:
-Generated charsets
-Generated faces
-Generated battle chars
-Wonderful maps
-An amazing story
-Awesome character development
That is what will be in the game. My generated sets will be amazing. They won't be horribly made generated stuff either. They will be top quality.

It’s rather funny how you criticize other people’s work, but you somehow manage to write something even more moronic then theirs. It really does seem to be a joke game cause I can’t stop laughing at your futile attempt to make something that is actually worthwhile.
First of all, the sealing 1,000 years ago. Who hasn’t done that before? The demon’s always defeated, but it never dies. It just gets sealed by these powerful people. And then there’s 1,000 years of peace. No wars from other people. The warlord is the only evil within the world That’s not a fully functioning world, that’s a disaster.
So far it looks like a typical “Rebellion vs. Empire” story. It’ll just end up being another damn game gathering dust because no one’s playing it. It’s always about saving the world from the empire.
I noticed your Kratos avatar. You seem to like Tales of Symphonia. Apparently though, you think that any game that copies off of it makes for a successful RPG.
Klyde, I noticed, is a lot like Lloyd. Just another passionate but dumb swordsman that thinks he’s right, and everyone else is wrong.
And then there’s Omaul Drasinhauf. If there was ever a bad last name, Drasinhauf would be it. He also seems to be almost exactly like Genis from Tales of Symphonia as well. The only real difference I see is that he’s a white mage, not a black mage. Same smartie attitude. Same intelligence.
Your black mage, Linne, has three things wrong with her. First of all, her last name is actually Kratos’s last name without the “u.” Second, her name is very similar to the name Raine. And thirdly, she even has the characteristics of Raine. Just as Lloyd is always disagreeing with Raine’s methods, Klyde is disagreeing with Linne’s methods.
Trina’s the most original of your cast, but that’s not saying much. She reflects Sheena a lot. She’s tough on the outside, but a softy on the inside. There’s too many of these characters out. Try to do something different for a change.

Yeah, critism is good too, but Mr. RegalPhantom.. try not to be some nemesis of the games forum, if you know what I mean. *points at your small postcount which happens to be 100% from the games forum*

Wow, is it just me or did RegalPhantom come off as a bitch? Eh, anyway, it may be cliched but if you finish it that'll be decent. A good game can always make up for bad story. Case in point, Legend of Dragoon.
