when will the next update of charas.ex?

Im new to the site and so im sorry if ive overlooked another thread which has this information already in it.

Im also a semi reasonable programmer in VB and may be able to lend a hand in creating the update?

GPI coded Charas.EX and hasn't been active in the forums for awhile, so no, I don't think there will be an update to Charas.EX unless the whole engine is rebuilt.

Also, define semi-reasonable. I've been having trouble with DirectMusic8 lately and could use some help. Specifically creating a segment dynamically(within the program) so I can connect and download a DLS to it and play the segment. If you have no clue what any of that means, don't worry about it.
