I was reading through a few of the posts, and I guess some of you are guitarists, so good. I hope you can help me!
When I got home from work this morning (graveyard shift...), I picked up my lovely accoustic and started messing around, when I came up with this:
---0---0---0---0---0---0---0---0-
-----3-------3-------3-------3---
-2-------------------------------
---------3-------2---------------
-------------------------3-------
---------------------------------
---0---0---0---0---0---0---0---0-
-----3-------3-------3-------3---
-2-----------------------0-------
---------3-------2---------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
...copy and paste it into Notepad, and it'll line up. I'm just stuck on whether I should keep with the same rhythm, or move up the scale and go from there..?

Well, a few things. In the first set, the 3 on the A string dosent sound right in my opinon. Neither does the 2 on the G string in the second set, it dosent transition well when played consecutivly. I like the way you have a bass note then the 0-3-0 (you know, diff. strings) treble thing to give it rythm, but I'd say on the fourth measure (or whatever, Im not that good with musical terminology) I'd vary it. What I mean is like after 3 of the 0-3-0 things, instead of a note on the bass string, play like 8 on the e, then put in something like 1-3-0 all on the e string. I can explain it better in tab version:
---0---0---0---0---0---0-8-1-3-0-
-----3-------3-------3-----------
---------------------------------
-2-------3-------2---------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
But really that's more like if you're gonna get into a rock song... I can't really imagine it on an acoustic.

I see what you're getting at, and it is working! I tried playing it on my electric, too... you're right, it just doesn't sound cohesive. It sounds good on the accoustic, though (at least I think it does..!)
I'm working on it now, and I'll share what I have well... later. I have to go to work in a bit, so ..woo?
