It's not multiplayer in that sense, the game just uses stuff that other players have created.  That way, there's divirsity in creatures, other people aren't playing as those creatures.

Exactly, and besides, your planet needs to be giving off radio signals in order for a player to find where you live, meaning that you'd have to be in the city age (or further.)

I'm gonna make a town of elephants with huge tusks and gills, so they can live underwater and take down sharks in swarms, and emerge occasionally from their underwater colonies.. to hunt stuff and drag it under. AW MAN this will be good

Well, it won't happen by other peoples means, and I suspect that all lifeforms start on the same level.

However, it would create some hilarious stories:
Just imagine, you come back from another planet in another solar system, and watch in horror as your first planet is destroyed.

I would lol. Jesus Christ, this is going to be a water cooler game and a damn fine one at that. I. Can't. Wait.



Also, the release dates are anywhere between August and November, according to various sources.
