(btw this is kinda long >.> )
ok, first of all i am still working on MageKnight and it has priority over this game, however i want to see what people think of it, i've had this game's idea for over 14 years now and have tried to make it before with friends (never worked well as no one really took it or me that seriously) once i can at least get a demo if not full version of mageknight out i'll be working on this big time and i would like all the help i can get (it will be bigger than what i could do myself alone    )

     first off, both kingdom hearts and smash bros melee took from my idea, i say this because of how long i've had it, both are great games, and both aren't exactly what i had planed though so my idea is original ^_^ (don't care what anyone says about that)

first of all i wanted to make it for fans of all games and anime. when you would start off your adventure you choose so many hero's and even a villian or 2. once this is done, the main characther you choose you start off with in a village. as you go about your life in the village you notice strange things happening and get involved into investigateing, and as you do so you find that peoples minds are being taken over and that is affecting people everywhere, and you decide you have to find out why...
(this is where i am going to end that thought as i want no one to know the full story, kinda like a teaster so no one can claim it as theres *clings to my story* )

 first off as i said before at the begining, you'd choose some chars from games and or anime, (limit 1 per game but you can take from more than 1 seris, kinda like you could take tifa from ff7 and squall from ff8 but you wouldn't be able to have both cloud and sephiroth)
and yes you can choose villians, why is because they can become good, i mean look at vegeta from dbz ^_^ also dbz is an anime so you could choose him if ya wanted to.
 secondly each char would have powers related to how they are. meaning if you choose gohan from dbz, if someone in your party dies in battle he could have a rage meter than makes him stronger or going SSJ increases his strength speed and energy. or lets say Duo from gundam wing, he could fight with a gun or later on summon his gundam to fight in  
each one having their abilitys put to good use in otherwords.
 third, like kingdom hearts have an area where all the people are originally from, but with the exception of not being planets, more like cities from their true home world all merged into one planet. like if goku was picked to be in your party, kame house would be in the game, if not lets say you picked trunks instead capsule corp would be in the game instead, or if you like pokemon (i say this as a joke as my brother wanted him in his party the first time i tried to make this) then like safferon city would be there with refferences to a kid throwing around his balls LMAO
 forth, some chars will join you just cause they like you, or for some you'll have to challange them or so forth, tons of things to unlock, find, and jokes about other games or characthers. kind of like a game for gamers by gamers type of a deal ^_^


ok, now ya can tell me what ya think of it thus far with what tid bits of info ya have, also later on for it i will make a list of all the chars i can and might jsut put into it, however if you like a char alot and would like to see them, post their name and what game their from (i don't know every game under the sun ^_^; )

first you should list a majority of the games that you might want to take characters from.

and then, post some of them, four or five at a time. I probably could do some character graphics for you.

I'd say be consistant with the characters you use though. Like I LOVE FINAL FANTASY but I don't really like DBZ (Sorry :cry: ). If you use FF, use all FF. If you use DBZ, use stuff like Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger. They don't get much exposure in games like this. It's your game so just have fun with it.

well, first thing's first, like I said, make a list of a majority of the games you want to take characers from. And, also like aboutsoandthis said, some characters, just don't fit together. so what you should do is find a good mix-up of heroes, like DBZ and Yu Yu Hakusho. Like I said some of these things, just dont 'click'.

And maybe you should change the title of the game.

ok to go in reverse order... about the title of the game, yeah it's most likely going to be changed, but thats the name i've dubbed it over the years. 2 the main point of the game IS to have fun, so if you want a team of: cloud strife, mario, snake (metal gear solid), sailor moon, and lets say Kefka (ff3, but i bet everyone here already knew that lol) then that would be the fun of it, getting to use your favorite's    the game will be almost 98-99% custom built not to mention will take some time to make, which is one of the reasons i said that it's bigger than myself, if it is done it will be the greatest thing that i have ever made, my masterpiece or masterwork whatever ya would like to call it. (by the way, there is no majority, merely favorites ^_^ so if you don't like dragon ball seris... don't pick it, it's ok if ya don't like something)
 i would definatly need a team when the time comes though

i'll give a small list of games and anime's i want to use for now, i can update the list later or depending on what people want to see. (side note i haven't played every game ever made so if i don't know of a game or a char from a game don't go ballistic on me please)

first of list (games); FF6,ff7,ff8,ff9,ff10 &11 are iffe..., chrono trigger, mario bro's (pick one lol),legend of zelda, kirby, yoshi's adventure, metal gear solid, pokemon (red or blue >.> for anyone that likes it... ), kingdom hearts, Radiata Knights, Star Ocean, metroid, Chrono cross, soul caliber, x-men legends 1&2, guilty gear, xeno gear, capcom vs. marvel.

list of anime; sailor moon, dragon ball, dragon ball z, dragon ball gt, kenshin, naruto, one piece, elfen lied, evangalieon, midnight detective, Ranma 1/2 (yes you will get to choose both male and famale form... it's been done before lol), Tenchi, oh my goddess, full metal alchemist, those who hunt elves, socerer hunters, slayers, inuyasha, gundam wing, digimon, yugioh (the cards will be like monsters summoned to fight for you), and Avatar the last air bender.

(hope ya like the list thus far, and please don't say i'm being unrealistic... some of it may or may not be put into the game, it's merely a list of possibilities.
