Well, I think he means how to use a field item to open a map. Just make the map book a switch item, and switch a Common Event's trigger on.The Common Event should have: > [and so on for each area in the game] {This makes it so that the cursor starts out on where you are}On the map book Map, put it so the visitable areas have a below-hero, parallel-proccessed event, set off by the switch called,"{whatever the area you're in is}," that's a blinking orb.{this makes it so when you're in Grooglebop, the dot blinks}On page 2, make the same thing, but with no switch, and make it a solid grey orb.{Makes it so if you're not in Grooglebop, the dot on Grooglebop stays still}Also make each event record who's in your party in Hero 1, Hero, 2, Hero 3, and Hero 4 variables; then empty your party. And if you want, you could make it so when you click the event with your hero pointer, it shows a message with the name and info of the area.Lastly, make it so that if you press the cancel/menu button through key input proccessing/password, and making a common event that checks the Hero 1 through Hero 4 variables, and places them in your party accordingly, then references and teleports to the memorized position. {this lets you go back to your game}This has been quoted because Charas thinks some parts are HTML.
