wow, a tall order here. some complicated questions

1. you know the walkaround chars? is there a way to adjust rpgmaker2k3 so that when i equip a new item, my chars and/or battlechars get the item actually visably equiped? (classes change the whole outfit, and only work on battlechars)

2. is it possible to create an online MMORPG (like runescape) so you could chat, lvl up, etc online with your mates?

Question 1: Complex series of Events. More easily done with an importable script in XP. You Could use the Change hero sprite command...many many times. Or you could switch to XP and do this all with a series of Scripts.

Not to mention RMXP Postality Knights enhanced edition is an Illegal translation, that is not legal, and is for pirates. And is incompatible with the best scripts out there.

Seriously though, Try the trial. What if you like it super lots, and then Have 60 bucks and youre like "Im going to buy this cuz its cool"

And if nothing else, the trial will let you play XP games, and you can at least get a feel for the calibre of projects out there. Doooo ittttt! XP, despite meis' opinion, hauls.

As for number one... Its doable, and it isn't really THAT hard. You would have to do something like this, create three or four events (one for the body armor, one for the helmet, one for the boots, and one for every part of the body.

Next what you do is make a parallel process common event. And a bunch of conditional branches like if you have a certain thing equiped, such as silver armor, it changes the body charset to the graphic of the silver armor. You'd have to do this for every piece of armor in the game. Then you need to 'stick' the armor peices together on the charset, which you can do several ways.

I just got XP yesterday. I'm tired of coding excellent systems in 2003 just to have them be ruined by lack of pictures or a bit of lag.

Gemini, know any good websites I can get some scripts from? Mostly, I want pixel by pixel movement and eight way movement.

*ahem* im english. i dont have ANY bucks. and i have already finishd he trial, its good but i cant see much of an improvement other than graphics and scripts (and as you can see from this topic, im not a very good scripter) plus it cant play movies without a script. so im really screwed with it

due, crationasylum.net is the main one I use.

Its undergoing some server changes, so sometimes its buggy, but its got tons of liinks, scripts and scripters. Im stil sort of a noob there I guess, but join up.
Im glad to see youre trying it out. Find me on MSN in the night times....I know of some good scripts and have some on my laptop.

Im happy to hear youre giving it a shot. Give it an honest try for a while and Im sure you wont be dissapointed. Theres all kinds of sweet utilities. Did you buy the authentic version, or are you using postaliity? Im thinkinh im going to buy it myself. Im sick of Version incompatibilities. I have the leagal trial, but Its expired.
