I don't like the whole translating RM XP idea, the same thing happened with 2000 and 2003. It's not illegal to use the trial version, and I think it's not illegal to use a translated trial version since the original RM XP trial is well, free. But to translate the full version of every version of RM and distribute it over the internet is wrong. It put ASCII out of business, and they didn't send the maker over to American shores. (or anybody elses for that matter) If people keep pirating these, that means no real RPG Maker XP for anyone except for the Japanese people which will mean several things for us.
1. The real thing almost (I've never seen a case where it hasn't) always works better. Our translated versions of RM2k(3) have all had their fair share of bugs, from the Enter Hero Name translation issue, which has forced us to work like crazy to have a custom Enter Hero Name thing, to all those teeny tiny bugs that no one notices until the game is tested.
2. We would have permission to sell our games. We have only been denied in previous versions to sell our games because we pirated their Maker, thus it is illegal to sell RM2k(3) games. Not only would selling our games make profit for us (you dirty people trying to get your hands on people's money) but it could also
support Charas a lot.
3. If we keep pirating this well, Enterbrain will discontinue the franchise altogether, which means no buying AND no downloading RPG Maker so-and-so.
I hate to be the one to break the news to you guys, but piracy is bad, and I refuse to download a full Translated RM XP until Enterbrain refuses our country RPG Maker XP.
In closing: I won't stop you from pirating RM XP, but if you do that, you're stopping me from buying it, so think before you act.

yea you got a point there but i don't think it's going to stop people from doing it but it never hurts to try... the only thing that sucks is well if they don't translate it then i wont get it cuz i can't read any othe language and nither can alot of people so you wont be able to sell your games any way if no one else uses it

Yeah, but if the people translating it could just wait until EnterBrain says no RM XP for everyone else, then atleast I know they tried to give us a chance to buy it. So, even if no one will follow this movement, atleast people will know I tried to save the RM franchise.
