Aaaarg I've just got a spam mail from Smokey too! It can't be all of an accident with all that spam mails!

It's not a coincidence. That's how some of these things work. They'll look for adresses from a certain site and change the sender adress to look like it came from someone of the same site, thus making it look more authentic.
This means it has your e-mail and smokey's too. And all because you joined charas.
