Opinions about video games

I'm not sure if this should really go here but what makes a game good in your opinion(s)?

I personally like a good story that flows well and great music. And of course good gameplay with a chalnage... But what about you guys?

Cool characters(heroes and villains) are most important to me, followed by a good story and good music, that is if I have the sound on when playing.

I guess if there's going to be gore it needs to be moderate and realistic. It's just getting ridiclous now.

Hmm, I like a game a lot if the characters are good. Not only if they're "cool" or not, but if their feelings and emotions are brought out through the story as well, then besides the story just being "save the world", it plays with the characters morals and ties in with them personally and such.

Then the gameplay has to be fun.

The intro has to be good and catching.

Then great music to eznhance the scenes is always a good thing.

Wow! Though some strange happening my perants died! Strangly enough, there's no motive for JUST them to die while the rest of the villiagers are unharmed! Even if my villiage was raized, there was njo motive at all! Seince I'm the only one left/in anguish becaue my perants died, I will hunt down the evil man who did it! If it's a woman, then she HAS to be a witch!

Finnialy! After meeting the "baddass character", the "lustfull female" caracter, the "romantic interest" character, my arch enemy who has just got around to discovering masturbation as well (who strangely just shoed up, even though my villiage was torn to all hells and even the strong adults died), I finally meet the "boss".

It's a good thing that mysterious woman gave me that weird rock!

That may somehow turn out to be something that will meraculusly defete the evil overlord! I wonder why she never did it herself, if she can sneak up behind me and scare the **** out of me when presenting it!

Ah-HaH! Generic Evil guy! My, how fugly this guy is!

I use this stone! Maybe I should have used it when he had full HP so I didn't have the everloving **** beaten out of me while I was fighing him!

Strange! When I get him down to 000/000 HP I finaly use the stone! You would wonder why he didn't just die when I cut him to shreads!

Of course, you would also wonder why I, a 10-13 year old was able to defete an evil overlord who can wipe a villiage off the map with a mere thought!

Oh my! He's dead! How dramatic!

OHMYGOSH! The mysterious woman who looks exactly like my mom appears again! Wow! She IS my mom! How incredably original!

I'm not going to get mad at her even though I risked life and limb trying to do something that she would do like making a bowl of cerial! Haha, you would wonder why that sumofabitch would  stay away from me even while the entire reason I was going on a nearly suicidal mission was to avenge her death!

I guess I should just be happy she's alive!

Well, My birthday is coming up! I'll be 12 soon! Then I'll start school, like nothing happened!"

If your game is anything like that- don't bother showing anyone.

Wow, I wrote a bloody book! I'm totaly making a comic out of that.

In a game I like a well written story, and complicated characters, along with great music. To unite this three all together is hard, but sometimes it happens (FF7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Personally, I don't really care about the game itself, as long as it's involving - something you can really get into. Like DB said,

I like a game a lot if the characters are good. Not only if they're "cool" or not, but if their feelings and emotions are brought out through the story as well, then besides the story just being "save the world", it plays with the characters morals and ties in with them personally and such.

I really don't care about the plot and story of a game, nor do I care about the music or graphics. All I care is that you can get drawn into the game, and play it for an hour without realizing it.

Well, It's kinda weird, the only game I've ever wanted to listen to the music on is f-zero(my fav) which has a really crappy plot so I guess all I care care about is cool characters. I'm not even a big fan of any FF but I think Amarant from 9 is cool.

I like a game to be fun to play. Screw the story, if the gameplay is boring then it's not going to be fun.l Exception to this rule is RPGs, although I've stopped playing those lately.

To me would be The story follow up by Gameplay if it doesn't have a story then the game will really suks take advice remeber what hapend to Devil May Cry 2 the only thing  good was the music and all that you did was slashing around and the story din't had anything in comon wit the frist story.But the third one is really good from the real start wit a really cool story so that makes the frist one the second one.

I like a game to have great gameplay above everything else. That's the whole reason why I play games; because of the way they PLAY.
Next to that, good music to set the mood. I've played games where the music didn't match the situation; for example, some dudes are ambushing you and are trying to kill you, and meanwhile there is happy, cheery music in the background.

I don't really care about story very much. Gameplay matters the most to me. Shining Soul II is an AWESOME hack-and-slash game, but the story is crappy and cliche'd. "There's too much Darkness, create a balance of Darkness and Light. Oh yeah, and stop the evil army too." Not to mention that the princess gets kidnapped in the beginning of the game. But I still love that game.

I like it when a game is pumped full of Easter Eggs, and the occasional inside joke is good too. Easter Eggs are very cool. Think FFIX

Me too. Extra hidden bosses are good too.

I like the characters to be good. Apart from that, nothing really matters. Although, anything with plenty of poses for characters is good with me too. It just doesn't look right when a hero can jump a 20 foot cliff or slice an enemy in half while standing still like he's been petrified. :p
