He is a pretty good character, dunno if he's the best FF character ever though. That just relies on one's own preferance.
Favor does seem to be with him when it comes down to black mages though.

If I looked back at all the black mages I know of in the FF series, I can only say Vivi and Lulu.

ARE there any others?


No wait, my favourite black mage is Black Mage from 8 bit theatre. :)
