My only real question... WHY!?!?

Why harvest moon!? Do the creators want to feel innovative? I think they're failing at that. There have been at least 5 of them started on these boards...

Why not make it have a similar concept, just not using harvest moon characters and places? Why not a game where you dig dung for a living!? I don't know! Just not harvest moon.... PLEASE!!!

Nah, the true reason is they aren't really creative enough yet for somthing really original so they have to use a rather dumb title in my opinion, the original Harvest Moon was pretty simplistic in it's designs, and the plot was rather minimal and maybe even non-existant. Your a farmer, you do stuff, that about covers it. If it were a combo however, I'd be more interested. Harvest Moon is overated.

I played a game that was rather interesting, similar as well, it was called Ramancing Saga, it was an RPG, but your characters age and I believe even retire or die, and the game would end if he had no kid to continue the quest. It's an RPG in the style of Final Fantasy though, monsters look pretty similar. Believe it was also made by Squaresoft. I never played the game much, but what I did play of it, I learned those details.

If I made a Harvest Moon game, it would carry a full RPG storyline. Not selling crops or not selling enough crops at a certain period of time could cause some damage to your funds, things could get leased or bought out by someone else, or your reputation around town will go down. Stuff like that would be great and challenging. Plus a plot about pirates or vandals sweeping through town, attacking the townsfolk and stuff would be a good thing to have. All kinds of subplots to go along with the main plot. Harvest Moon games on RM2k/3 could be great, people just don't give it the RPG element Harvest Moon should get.
