I'm glad you liked this version better anfd glad you liked it for what it was.  :D
I agree about the Cave....so I'll spend some time fixing that up.
Oh, and Haru and Skylar are pretty similar.  But later on...Haru shows his true self.  He's sort of an *** and he's real cocky and arrogant.  lol
And I'm glad you like Trance.  I put alot of thought into his character.  :D

Small update.  Not much to say.

First off, a few people might know of my "missing" files.  Well.....not actually files.  When I was prepping for the release of the demo, I forgot to make a second game file.  Becuase, I wanted to delete some maps from Chapter 2, as to not give anything away.  Well, silly me, I didn't realize that I was working on the original copy.  So, turns out I deleted alot of maps and a crap load of events.  
But thanks to all my buds, I got almost all of my maos back.  No events, sadly.  So, for the next week or so, I'll start to redo the events once I feel like it.  Kinda like pulling teeth.  xD

So yeah, wish me good luck, and I'll let you know how things are in a few days.

Oh, and  Ace knows how freakin pissed I was when it happened.  XD

Lol, next time you have to make sure you back up all your files before you do anything like that :p

I back up my files every school day. Every night when I'm done working on rm2k3, I put my game on my flash drive so I can bring it to school the next day and work on it there. Then I after I'm done doing work there, I copy the .ini files and ltb and those types of files, plus any maps i've made, and I put them back on my flash drive. Then when I get home, I copy the new files into my game folder, and i'm good to go. (I still keep the game on my flash drive just in case though). So no matter what happens, I won't lose more than a half days work.

Like you, I have learned the hard way  :yell:

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

So, I took the advice people offered to me, and I decided to make Serpent Cave a bit more exciting.  Here's a screen of a puzzle involving piecing together bridge pieces.

Note: The bridge closest to Skylar and Hru, used to have another piece.  But, Haru jumped it, and the piece gave wayc as a result.  The other entrance you see, to the right, contains many chests.  Some with bridge pieces, and some with Mimics!  Once you obtain one piece, you can choose to go back to Haru to help him, and therefore he will fight along side, or you can go through finding the pieces on your own.  :p

Whoa, I'm loving the dual character setup. It's pretty cool because in some games I've played you have more than one person yet they can't act together to solve something that would be simple if they did.

Hehe, yep.  ^^  I got it from my OTOS system.  They both help play into eachother.  And, I know I can't capture the whole scene with screens, but rest assured, the scene is very good and funny too.  :D
