A Dragon's World

Some of you may remember my "A Dragon's World" game that I was making a while ago. Well my computer crashed and I lost about half the game, instead of picking it up I moved on to my SilverFire game (which most of the ideas from ADW came from). That was going good too, but then my computer crashed yet another time. Anyway, I'll continue my work on A Dragon's World once again, but this time there will be a lot of revisions and changes to make it even better.
The biggest change is that this game won't be a stand along game anymore, it'll be tied to my SilverFire game as a prequal, in turn, I'm renaming the game to SilverFire: Beginings (or somethign like that). Now that I can tie it to SilverFire, I can make the story and plot much more intertwieving and not so streight forward. After posting the new story and the changes in that, I'll post the new features and changes as well.
STORY
Ever since humans were born on the earth, they have been in constant conflict with the dragons who had the world to themselves for ages. As a new age dawned, it caused a change in the world. People were able to change the enviornment to their needs, through this they gained an advantage over all other creatures. With the dragon's magical abilities fading, they knew something would have to be done or all would be lost for them. Its not exactly known how, but some dragon's evolved into a new subspecies known as the Shinro. The Shinro lost their giant form and most of their magical abilities, but in return they were given intelegence and a perminate foothold in the changing world.
But after thousands of years, the true Shinro gene has been lost. Dragons varied between the enourmous figures (which without their magical abilities have become savages, save for a few), to the human sized bipedal figures. Social status and rank came from how close one was to having the true shinro gene, though the system also favored those with power.
Now after years of intence battles, the fighting was slowing down. It seemed as though both sides realized the benifit of peice and cooexistance. However from the shadows, a forced urged the battles on. The head of the dragon army, Vorthon, (previously named Zersevick), brought full scale war as he lead his forces to massacre the small village of Nikki. When world reached the near-by city of Audian (previously known as Zaddamal which was previously known as Megatown), the humans launched a counter strike. The small island with Nikki, Audian, and the dragons' cave became the center point of an all out war which would determain once and for all the planet's dominate race.
Sry'yxhad (previously named DragonBlaze), was part of an eliete group of soldiers known as The Dragon Sword Masters (new name pending), The Dragon Sword Masters are basically the generals of the dragon army, let by the yellow dragon Vorthon who is said to be almost pure Shinro. Though during the raid on Nikki, Sry'yxhad turned on Vorthon and the other Dragon Sword Masters in hopes of stopping an innevitable war. His efforts were in vain. As punishment, his wings were removed and he was locked away in the dungeon for seven years, but most of all, his soulblade was hidden. A dragon sword master's blade is forged from their very soul, thus when his soulblade was removed, it as if he had lost his spirit, and in hand, his will to live.
All that changes as a group of human soldiers penitrate the dragons' cave. A few soldiers venture into the dungeons, killing off the guards, they come upon Sry'yxhad who is all chained up. As one of the soldiers holds a sword to the dragon's neck, Sry'yxhad hears a mystious voice in his head. He can't understand what it's saying, but it gives him the stregnth to break free of the chains and fight back. After the battle, Sry'yxhad puts the thought aside as he goes off to defend the rest of the cave. After succeeding, his punishment is lifted...
But what exactly are the Shinro and why did they evolve, why is the war being dragged on, what is the shadow behind it, what was that voice Sry'yxhad heard, and how will the war end? It's all up to you...
Alright, probably one of the biggest changes in this game is that you can choose which path you want to follow. You can choose to defend Audian or to destory it, you can choose to save someone, or you can let them die, you can choose to follow your destiny, or you can choose to make your own. Basically, you'll be able to do whatever you feel is right, and its not going to be clear either. Defending Audian won't appear to be the right choice, but again it won't apear to be the wrong choice, you're going to have to decide for yourself.
You won't need to play This game to understand SilverFire, and you won't need to play SilverFire to know how this game ends, but playing both will be have its advantages. SilverFire takes place in the aftermaths of a war, this war. If you beat this game you'll get a password (the password will be differnat depending on how you beat the game). Then during SilverFire you can use that password to travel to this island where you can do a bunch of cool things, including gaining Sry'yxhad's armour.
Another thing I'm changing about this game is that it won't be linear. You'll have to follow the game for a little while, but then you'll be on your own. You'll be able to do what you want, when you want.
In this game you'll be able to level up normally, I had a differant way of leveling up before, but I decided to toss that idea out the window. When I originally started making Dragon World (first name), it was simply a contest entry which was only going to be Megatown filled with a bunch of minigames. To get stronger, you would have to gain followers, and in order to heal yourself you would have to eat your followers. Well I quickly took the eating part out, but now I'm taking the rest out..
CBS - This game will still have a cbs, but it'll be the cbs I'm making for general use for any game. This version will be formatted to this game of course and will still have the combo attacks. But it'll also have timed attacks, when you attack an enemy, you can press the spacebar just as you're hitting the enemy to get a critical hit, but if your off when pressing it the attack may be weaker.
Characters - There were 3 characters in the past game. Zesher, Kyruto, and Yara. All three name are now being used in SilverFire, so I have to rename them, but I'm also adding more character. I want a ton of secret characters (seven sounds good). But you can only get 3 of them on your party for a total of 6 members. All aditional characters will be made by YOU as members. In order to have a character, I need a voice actor, so basically if you submit a character, you'll be volenteering to do their voice :p
- To submit a char include their name, race, gender, age, personallity, background, apperance, magic list, weapon(s), and a charset. I don't care if you want a lot of stuff about your character to be unknown in the game, but please tell me the info. I'm not going to put a character in the game if their age, background, and race are all N/A.
-- A big thing in the SilverFire series is diversity of characters. Thats why one character is a dragon, and another is a dragon slayer. So I'll be more likely to choose your character if they are unique. I'm not going to put in 4 mysterious swordsman, though maybe 1.
-- Your race can be whatever you want (within reason). You don't have to limit it to humans or dragons.
-- This is not a first come first serve deal. I'll take the ones that best fit the game. It doesn't mean that one character is better than the other, it just means I think it'll work better with this game.
Help: Though I appreciate people offering their help, I really don't really need it. To be honest I would really like help with mapping and a few graphics, but it just usually doesn't work out. When I decide to make something, I make it, and its just too hard to wait on someone else before I can get started. You'll do the most help by providing feedback and submitting a character

Yeah I know, but I didn't have any blank disks to burn my stuff to, and I didn't have enough money to buy them because I just bought my computer. I would have uploaded them to the internet, but it would take days with dial up, and thats if i can find a good host :p
I had most of the files for this game backed up, so I can pick it up again witout remaking too much stuff

I know I should have backed up my games, but theres nothing I can do about it now.

Yes! You are remaking the greatest game I have played on rpgmaker to date! I can't wait! I would submit a char, but all I can do is Stick Figures and I don't want to use the generator for the sake of your game's "look" I guess I could say.

Thanks guys
@ coasterkrazy
Well I don't know if the old version you played was
that
great, but thanks
This new version will be a ton better too.
As for submitting a character, I'm not too worried about charsets, I can make them, I'll have to make the bchars and facesets for them anyway to match my games graphics. The main thing I need is the ability to do voice overs (or find someone else to do them). I'll only need them for the battles though.
UPDATES:
Hopefully I'll be getting a new monitor within a week (19" LCD
). Anyway, once I'll begin work imediatly after I get a new monitor. The one I'm using is very small and the picture is all blurry, it just demotivates me so much when I can hardly see what I'm doing on the screen.
I applied for a job at GameStop, and if I get it, it may effect the amount of time I have to work on this game pushing the due date back slightly. Then again, working with games all day may help me out here.
And lastly, I'll get the screenies up this weekend, in a few weeks I also plan to make a trailer for this game, its been a while since i've made a trailer, the outcome may be "interesting" (for lack of a better word)
