Last of His Kind - RP

Deeper within the caves, a pair of red eyes glow as a young woman screams in pain - though in the dim light radiating from a floating object of some sort, she appears to be in no physical harm.

"Come back to your senses!" the hidden old man says. "We need to escape from this place!"

"But... but..." the woman stammers. "He's coming for me..."

"Which is why we need to run away!" Another flash of purple light illuminates the cave, making the woman cry out. The floating object, which appears to be an ornate shield, quickly flashes red, sending a stream of fire at an evil-looking creature with a bear-like body but the head of a man. The magic fire singes the beast's fur, causing it to snarl in pain and recoil a bit.

"Reyt, come!" the man calls, though there appears to be no man within the cave. The shield begins to float to the exit a few feet back, but the woman is immobilized by fear. She starts crying uncontrollably, and the beast takes a few steps forward. The shield flashes again, and a bubble of energy forms around the woman, protecting her from the beast's attack.

"Oh please god no..." the woman mutters. "Don't do that to me..."

 Atikkus looked around, thinking. Then he waved his head in a negaticve way, as if trying to put away bad thoughts. Then he looked at the others. "Should we follow him?"

[Dragonium]

Verde slides down a muddy slope, sending pebbles crashing down onto the floor. "Ah, it seems that we have a problem", he mutters as he slips on Iridon once again. He sprints forward, ready to spring into action, whilst forming a lightning spell in his head, when he is struck by a glancing blow to the head and slides into a heap.

He sits up aggressively, ready to cast towards the object that struck him, when the floating shield whirrs past him again; Verde jumps to his feet, dodging the shield. The bear-bodied creature roars menacingly as the magical artifact whips around the room. "That's some artifact", mutters Verde, "Such a shame I'm busy".

His eyes meet with the young woman, encased in the bubble. He sees the look of fear in her eyes.

"There is another in this cave, who did it..."

"Shut up", mutters Verde, shaking his head. He raises his hand, forms a fireball, and launches it towards the beast.

[Drace]

Locke wanders through the mine. Signs of Dwarves are hidden behind blankets of dust. He's lost. "Locke, fool. You shouldn't have gone in alone. I don't think anyone will find you again Locke."
Locke enters a large open spot in the mines. It seems to be some sort of meeting place of the Dwarves. Old walls and stairs are standing, while others have crumbled. Walking through it, he feels something's near.
In all suprise, a cloaked man jumps towards him and slashes with a giant sword. "A Katana," Locke thinks and he makes a roll to the right.
The cloaked man looks at him.
"Locke, make me feel it! Make me feel alive again!" he shouts and rushes towards Locke.
"No!" shouts Locke with anger all through his voice. "How can this be happening again?!" The Katana scratches against his shield. A sudden slash with his sword through the man and it disappears in a smoke.
Locke fears the presence so near to him and drops to his knees. His sword drops on the ground. "Why?" he says silently to himself. "Why?!?!?!"

"Adventurer, get out of here." the old man says to Verde. "The caves are on the verge of collapsing, and the magic power released by this fight is the last straw. Myself and Reyt will be fine, but I fear for the rest of your group..." The shield flashes white, temporarily stopping the beast. "However, I cannot leave you to die, so I will help you destroy this beast." The shield floats toward Verde. "Attack as you normally would without a floating shield in your way. I will cast as much support as I can handle."

[Kinslayer]

Anyan stood on his feet, watching what was left of the creature... He realized that he had lost his senses. "What... have I DONE???!!!" he said, desperate. Soon, he got up and heard a harsh sound... "The walls are... collapsing? A dwarven mine is collapsing?! What is this place?!". Soon he heard the same voice from before...

 "This place is meant for brave ones..."

"Wha...?" said Anyan, surprised "I killed you!!! I KILLED YOU!!! Where art thou hiding, foul creature of darkness!!! Face my sword, the Dragon Breath, coward!!! SHOW THY FACE!!!"

 "Face? The only face that I see here is yours... you killed a son of mine, you killed a very young one of us... a BOY"

"No... it cannot be..." said Anyan "This is impossible!!! you are deceiving me!!! Where are you, evil spirit?! Let me face you!!!"

 "You are in no position to order me around... Kinslayer"

"I said that you must not call me that name!!!" Anyan seemed more desperate than before.

 "Why, I believe it fits you, assasin of children..."

Anyan couldn't answer. He ran into the caves, with his eyes full of tears. He kept running until he met up with a horrifying look... an enormous beast attacking a group. Anyan drew his sword, he saw an old man stippoing the creature with his magic...
"May I be of service?!" screamed Anyan. He was willing to help this group.

The cave begins to collapse. "I've got to get out of here," Locke says to himself. Locke turns around and follows the path he took to get where he came. But to the point where John and the others were, stood a horrible beast.
"Thou shall taste the sharp side of my blade, fiend," raising his sword, he runs towards the beast. With a shout of adreneline running through his body. Then it all turns black in front of his eyes.

 OOC: I'm... getting a little lost in here, how many beasts we have?

(OOC: Grandy, it looks like two. One that Verde, Anyan and my group is fighting, and one that the others are fighting.)


The floating shield flashed a brighter white than before, stopping everyone in their tracks. "Stop, all of you. Your foolishness will get you killed! We must evacuate these caves immediately!" The old man's enchanment quickly wears off, and the shield begins to move toward the exit. The young woman, still encased in a magical bubble, floats after it.

 Atikkus looked as the shield passed by, followed shortly bafore the girl floating in the magic ball. "......and later on they say that US necomancers bend nature rules." He starts running outside as he notices the cave is (for lack of a better word) going BOOM.

[Dragonium]

Verde chases after the girl in the floating orb. The cave behind seems to warp and distort as the walls and ceiling crash together. Finally, a flicker of light shows through the falling dust. Seizing his chance, Verde springs forward, in an attempt to seize one of the woman's feet; he misses, and slides into the dusty floor.

For a few seconds, he lies there, staring at the ceiling, which seems to be getting blurry. He quickly realises that this is because the stalactites are moving closer to his face. He stands up quickly, being careful to avoid the cracking beams which hold up the roof, and peers around. The young woman is nowhere to be seen, but there are shouts from outside. "One, two, three, four, five...", whispers Verde, counting the survivors. "But, that's not right. There were five of us".

At that, one of the beams cracks completely, and the ceiling collapses a couple of inches. A figure wanders aimlessly past, stumbling over rocks and fallen stalactites which have pinned into the mud floor. He mutters something incoherent, and does not seem to be able to see the path ahead. A deep roar echoes down the tunnel, but the figure does not hear it. Locke. Verde seizes his arm, and pulls him toward the light, just as the ceiling begins to give way.

As Verde and Locke jump from the caves, the entrance collapses in upon itself in a deafening roar. The floating shield turns to the group, apparently observing it.

"Is this your entire group?" it asks; the voice seems to be coming directly from the shield.

Back at the inn, the imp finally answers in a tone of urgency.

"I know a many of killers, but I am currently torn between multiple objectives and have no time to explain... as a guardian I haveth no choice else I'll feel the consequences..."

With that he jumps out the window seeking the point at which the disturbances reside.

Anyan watches the shield, then he watches the group and says: "I do not seem to understand... is this shield speaking? What is the meaning of this?". The other people from the group watched Anyan. "Ahem... it is obvious that I must introduce myself... Where did I leave my modals? My name is Anyan Leddwick, I used to be a knight at the Reign of Endora, far North from here... Who do I have the pleasure to meet?".
