Never said I liked it, just said that, in theory, it was similar to Djanki's point. I absolutely hate politics.

Well I just saw the word communism and BAM, I had to state my opinions on it, it wasn't based on what anyone said in particular :p

But yay, another politics hater, though I think theres a lot of people that hate politics, and I know why.. They suck!

So I had a great big conversation about Politics (among other things) at school yesterday. Several things we went over...

Harper really is a Nazi, and wants to take away Gay rights, women's rights and the rights of minorities. I do not support him, and it's a damn good thing it's a minority government, because otherwise, women wouldn't be allowed to vote.

Bush is an idiot, but really, he's nothing. He's got a ton of power, but all he does is let his dad run the show. He's like a 5 year old kid who gets up on stage and reads, that's about all he does. I hate the American government, and I think that anyone who voted Bush back in is stupid.

The Iraq war. Ok, it's bad when your war is called Operation Iraqi Liberation... which the initials for are OIL. When the war started Bush was saying that Iraq has WMD's, and no one believed him. 3 years later, and what have they found? A bunch of guns? Every country has weapons! That's not a national threat. But, now they're stuck there, just being slaughtered. I haven't heard of any skirmishes the US troops have won. Hmm... Iraq = Vietnam 2? I think so...

Harper wants to send us to Iraq. We already know there's no point to the war, but he just wants to kiss up to Bush. What's he afraid of? The US can't attack us. If they did, every other country would come to Canada's aid.

The US is $30m in debt to China. With China being the next superpower, be prepared for a huge surgence in Communism.

Speaking of superpower countries, isn't it funny that throughout history all superpower countries have been decimated with one exception (Britain)? Anyone living in the US had better be careful, the economy is slowly crashing, and it's all thanks to your 'fearless leader'. - My one friend says watch the movie postman, it has some great predictions about the US future. A few include, the entire federal government emploding, and each state becoming a seperate country... very much like USSR = Russia, and a million other dinky countries. Imagine the world Olympics after that...

Anyways, those are just the thoughts of me and my friends. If you disagree, that's fine, this is my opinion. I am Canadian (and proud) and obviously have some bias towards the US.

But to be serious, I wouldn't like to be in a feudal country, because I don't like the idea of people being "attached" to a peice of land.

 Well, in my position, a government should look what it's best to it's people, then make different decitions that can be of beneffit of the country it rules, without having to destroy others. It's really general, I know, but a whole political idea is hard to explain. I don't know what the heck I am. I know I'm no communist, no capitalist, no imperialist, no anarchist and I don't like ideas of the biggest politicians in the world. All I think of is to let a free economy be, but it has to be regulated in order to sustain the countrie's needs.
 For example, Argentina has a liberal economy, the enterprises are private (ALL of them, even water and electricity), so it's rather hard to keep their services, because they care in what is good for them, not what is good for the country they are working in (*ironic mode on* by the way, thank you, Carlos Menem, you sold our country on a good ransom, thank you very much, and thank you IMF for having being a pain in the arse for so much time *ironic mode off*), so to have a strong State (not tyrannical, just strong enough to hold the power for it's own nation) that can take decitions in economy is good. Democracy is (in my position) the best political system, but it has to be well applied, people should be able to use the real power they got, because of that the vote is really important, still it is a system that allows you to speak freely and choose the people in command.
 From there it's just up to what the people want to do with that system.

I'll completly agree with that. Aside from that, during the feudal era taxes were quite the bitch.

All political sistems have flaws (including democracy, by disgrace). But you should never forget this: In a democracy, you have the right to say and think whatever you want about anything.

In a Dictatorship, you lose your freedom. That also happens in Comunism (By the way, Russia, China and Cuba are all weird tipes of communism, maybe you should read something and come back about this point).

In Economy, I believe in balance. Some things (Important resources such as energy and water, as well as education and Health Services) shoul belong to the State, because they are thing that everyone needs and have a right to have. You can´t leave that kind of responsability to bussinensmen who will pursache their own interests in the end (Not to talk about foreign industries, I mean, it would fun to go to a war against, let´s say France, if they control your Oil, or your Water Service.). In other areas, I think that small bussines should be helped (Since competition is good, ya know!!!!!!).

There´s a last rule I believe in: NEVER go into an attack war. ALWAYS defend. (NOTE: If anyone knows a way to make Bush understnd this, please tell me. PLEASE PLEASe!!!!!)

It's actually Operation Iraqi Freedom, not liberation.  That's just a joke someone made up.  And they actually did find some WMD's in Syria (thats where they hid them), but most of the media is so liberal and anti-Bush, you'll never hear about it.

What I am really sick of is people who are unaffetcted by Bush to complain about him. Stop jumping on the bandwagon and mind your business. I don't like him, but he's not hurting my life yet, so I'm not complaining yet.

yeah. but i hate the us goverment in general and the fbi scare me. I think bush is as good as most other presidents. I do not think it is our job to jugde them because we do not know what it is like.

Political discussions are always so hard to keep tabs on and even harder to say something without someoen else getting angry.

In my opinion, politics are personal preference, therefor, no matter what type of government is chosen, someone's not gonna like it.

But I kinda agree with Shady Ultima, America has got some humungous debts, and the economy is definitely hurting. But I would not say we are on the verge or really that close to a total breakdown in the government. If we were, there'd be more things like, the depression, even MORE poverty, prolly more political corruption, protests, riots... It'd be a lot more chaotic. But I do believe, if something is not done, if our politicians don't straighten out and start doing their friggin' jobs, the US is screwed.
