Is it that annoying? It's never bothered me but it's good to receive feedback...
The time of day affects monster encounter rates and other events, so I find it useful to have the timer there. I've always found it a bit annoying how in some RPGs you have to press a button or use an item to see the time.
Besides, It feels nice bending the built-in timer to my will, forcing it to count upwards

If you're going to have the timer shown, then you should show what day it is in the game, and what month. Usually, people can tell what time of day it is by looking at the tint of the screen. They shouldn't really have to press a button to show the time.

Oh? It counts? How the hell did you manage that? Well, in that case, keep it as is. But I'd suggest adding a tint like Meiscool said. You can easily control the tint of each time of the day since you're using the timer.
EDIT: To about: Wow, that looks kickawesome my friend!

I'm releasing two versions of my game. I tell you the people there are
.
If you go to Gaming World do not say a thing. I respect your opinion but my game is for Charas.
Nice Raen Ryong. The maps have a few mistakes but I like them. I've got a Day/Night system too, even though it uses variables instead of timers.

Hm... GamingW seems really too... what's the word... strict? Too concentrated on details. Who cares what other games did? I think either way will work.

You Have Darkness Along With Bright Spell Boxes. YAY!
Where did you get the boss? I don't want it but where do you get your animations? Did this one come animated too?

About: I actually liek the pictures in your background of the menus. It gives it more detail. I don't find it distracting at all. I agree with Drenin, GW is alittle strict. Every fault they pointed out is what I like to see. I can even read your text I don't know what their problem is.
MiC: Loving the map, nice and dark. I can see spell boxes. What kind of boss is that? I don't like this boss as much as your last one, but this guy looks bad ***. HAve you completed your haunted house yet. I mean like have you found all the broken down stuff that you want to use in it?

The haunted house is finished. If people wanted, I could have a demo of the entire house out, but they said they'd rather wait for an intro demo, which I can't blame them for.
Anyways, it's the same game, and as you can tell by the poses, it's animated. I get these rips from a German Website. They are rips for BoF2.
It's a pretty annoying boss, much harder (I think) then the last one. This boss relies totally on where you are as to what attacks it uses. If you're far away from it, it will use rapid firing flames, or seeking Flare Swords. The Flare Swords probally won't reach you, but they will keep you from getting close to him... unless you want to get hit with all 3 or 6 of the shots he sends out. If you're close to him, he keeps you moving by making flames fall from the sky or come up out of the ground. Also, because every attack he uses on you causes Torrid Condiction, it's very hard to get a chance to use projectile attacks on him, meaning you're stuck with magic and melee.
And just a note, it
might
creep the hell outta you when you find out who that monster actually is... in the game I mean :p

Alright here is my first map for my game( well not really that starting map but I may make it so)
Tell me what you think.
EDIT: I still have some fine tuning to do and I am trying to make almost every open tile(where there is no boarder) access a different part of the mountain.

WAY to random. If you're trying to make a town in the mountains or in a forest, it should be kinda boxed in. Yours is open and complex.

Well, I was going for a random style. You can only see a few entrances but for the most part the buildings are interlaced inside of the mountain. So you can enter form the outside, then from there leave someone's houe into the moutain and then talk to people then you can furthere explore the houses in the moutain or jsut go back out on to the mountain. I have never seen this before so I thought it would be kind of a cool idea. I make the treetops above the character you you could walk under them.

So you know how I posted that screenshot from my game of
that pirate ship in a cave. Well someone mentioned something about the waterfalls in the cave...I think...And I said that the reason they were so out of place was because in my game there is a lake that empties into it. So the other day I started to work on the lake and finished but it looks a little odd to me and I'm not sure why
I was just wondering if you guys...or girls (I dunno is there any?)
If you could just critique this screenshot also and maybe give me a little helpful advice...

That actually looks pretty sweet. An yes there are girls on this forum.
Anyway back to the map, umm how do you get out? I mean the mast is coming up through an opening, so how does the boat get out?

I think behind it there's an opening. Like the boat is docked in the cave entrance.
