I don't know if anyone remembers the Fellowship of the RIng game for RM2K I made a little over a year ago, I'm done with the Two Towers as well now. You can download the game here:
(I'll probably change that as I fix bugs- it's still largely untested.)
There's also a walkthrough in case you get stuck.
Please report any bugs you might find in this topic and I'll fix them ASAP.

Sorry, there was a bug when you get to Isengard.
I've changed the download link but you'll get stuck there if you downloaded before the date of this post.

looks good, the charsets could be altared a bit though they dont really look the part, though the maps are quite good ;)

Ya, I just used the charas generator for the most part. I didn't have the time, skill, or inclination to make hundreds of original characters by hand.
Also the tall and small sets were very helpful.

Movie mostly, though there are some parts from the book (eg. Tom Bombadil), and also some random "game" stuff that isn't very Tolkienesque at all.
