charas.ex offline fucked up my computer!

          I tried to install the charas.ex offline version on my computer, so I clicked on the "update" file and it went through my computer and messed up all my music files and pictures.   I know that it's not the programs but im guessing the "update" file changed all the formats of my files.  Music programs like Windows Media Player, Creative, and Winamp could not play my newly fucked videos and songs!   Plus, all my pictures are now non-viewable. Also, after this "update" occured the charas.ex offline version does not work anyways. Before the installation, all my files worked perfectly.  Does anyone know how to reverse this mishap?!

Charas doesn't do that, you must've gotten a virus at around the same time.

Yeah charas-ex doesnt change file formats. It is unlikely possible thoough. But extremely doubtable.

Do a system recovery.

Do you have an anti-virus program? My old comp didn't and that was its eventual doom.
