Annoying Problem!

Everytime I try to import a character to RPG Maker 2k3, it keeps saying that "Bitmap size is irregular." What am I suppose to do to resize it so that I can put it in the program? _veryangry_

You can look through help in rm2k3 and you'll see what is the size of the character file and it has to be saved in 256 colors.

I don't know how to save it in 256 colors. And I know what the sizes are suppose to be, I just want to know how you change it so it can allow it.
