hi i downloaded rpg maker xp the other day and im already in progress of making a new zelda rpg but 1 thing realy ticks me off i dont know how to animate something like flames or wter rushing through a pipe i relly need some help ive tried nearly everything so bassicly i need to know how to run more than 1 picture (flames water etc) in an event(to crete the efect that water is movig,flames flickering)

Ok, I haven't used rmxp in a while, and I don't have it right now, so I don't know the exact names of the options or anything, but heres how you do it.
When you make an event, there should be an option near where you set the character graphic for animation type. Set the animation type to continuous or rotate (differant graphcis are animated differant ways). I think for the rtp graphics, continous will work, so yeah, just set the flame or water graphics to a continuous aniamtion pattern.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

i take it you mean in the evnt menu well if you do the only things around the preview is conditions,autonomous movement, triggers and options no animation type
