I'm not sure if I'll have time to make this for
the contest, because My Group is in preproduction for our 10 minute movie and we don't stop shooting Until... April 13th
And seeing as How The Due date is April 15th,
I'll have VERY little time to work on it, But it will be something
I'll pick back up when I'm done with it...
Anyway, Here is what the games about:


Your name is Favam, and you go to school at
a place called Sheraz High School. Your courses are pretty normal, like the ones we have today, The only difference is, you have an Engineering class where the main focus is on Tronics.

Tronics Are Orb shaped Robotic defense mechanism's that Mostly everyone has.

I think I'll need screen shots to Demonstrate what Kind of game this is.

This game Features a Main Map, Or Overworld, Almost every place you need to get to Are placed on this small Map seen in this picture Above...

Also from this map, you can save your game and are prompted to do
so everytime you are about to enter an event or a building.

 

From the Main screen, You can enter Buildings, and sometimes Events will be triggered on the map and you will be taken to a Bigger version of the map for the Event to play out.

 

One Place you can access from the main Map is Your home!
It serves as A Base to Check Emails about upcoming Battle arena events, Friends who are coming into town, Special Sales At the Tronic Shop and Other various emails... (Including Spam and advertisments for other peoples games: I'll Be looking and asking around for people who want to have thier games advertised this way. )

 

The Battle Arena is a place to show off your skills, Either a One on one or a group of Three versus another group Of three. And also a place To earn Money and Prizes that can only be gained here.



Another thing posted here is Job requests. You will be asked If you want to take a job request from Lucy at the main counter.
There are where you leave the Small community you live at and venture into Forests, Caves, and other areas on Odd Jobs. Doing there Jobs often yield rewards and Money, and sometimes special Items, Only Found in these locations.

(However, If you complete a Job, You cannot access the area again, So make sure you brush up on your treasure hunting skills before lleaving.
 

This is Where you go to school, Some other events happen here. You can take quizzes and earn Grades from this building. Also, It serves as the Story mode, So If you want to play a more linear game, Visit this place anytime The Arena Battles and Job Requests aren't doing it for you.

(Warning: Quizzes on Tronics will be easy, But since you have other classes, You will have to answer questions From History, Art, Math, and other classes... But don't worry just yet, There will be a massive school Library with tons of Book, And lots of Texts, on these answers. The books will be Divided by Class, and Quiz number, So the answers will be a little easier to Know.

Another little warning is that: You will only be able to re-do the first Quiz you take, The rest are marked as final grade. So A Bit of studying is recommended.

At the end of the story (After all events from the school are Done) You will get a final Mark. If you Fail, well then. you just fail the Story line part and the rest of the game is still accessible to you.
But If you pass, Something special (Which I've not thought of yet) Will Happen, So... Study Hard!

Woah. A 2k game. Haven't seen one in a while. Looks pretty promising, though, you are entering it into the contest, and so the games should be posted there.

But, then again, the rules are somewhat loose, anyway. To my knowledge, this is the 2nd game in the contest I've seen based either in the present or the near future.

I don't think I'll be finished By the Due date,

Which isn't necessarily bad.
If I did strive for April 15th, Id have to cut out alot
and it would be shorter.

I think Ill make this game longer and not submit it.

Just slap a *The end* on it for the contest, submit it, and then continue working on it afterwards. That contest needs all the entries it can get, what have you got to lose?

It isn't a demo if you put *They wake up and it was all a dream* at the end  

You might get marked down for a bad ending, but they'll be looking at the characters and gameplay mostly I reckon. Then afterwards, just get rid of the crappy ending and continue.
