RPG Maker 2003 has a side view default battle system similar to that of the Final Fantasy series. Those battle characters are for people with Rm2k3 to use for their characters.

Just as AFL said, the battlechars are used in the battles of the game as Rpgmaker is a maker of RPG's (roleplaying games) such as Final Fantasy where whenever you engage the enemy the battle start in another screen with you and the enemies on different sides of the screen.

With scripts.
But, you won't find any scripts here. Go to RMXP.org they have some there. You'll just need to edit it to work for the script.
