The Rising Phoenix

I recently was told that the name rise of the Phoenix was already taken by another game so I had no choice but to change the name. But that doesnt matter, I've been continously working on this game for about 3 years now with a friend mainly working on the story line, finally I'm about half way through making the game. Heres the low down on the Game:

The Story:

Every 10 years a phoenix is reborn and with it brings great power, the power to heal and create. Every 15 years a Dragon is born and with it comes the Power to Destroy. The World lived in peace for many years all races and species on Earth live peacefully, Until one day when a young warrior killed a fellow Human, The young warrior was known as Arcadios and he had slain, Creaton for he fear he would come to power. This set the world into a spiral War broke out between the followers of Arcadios and those opposing him. Arcadios managed to Perswade the Dragons into helping them, By lending the Humans power the Dragons soul would go inside the human vessel waiting to be unlocked. With this power the battle seemed lost for the Opposing side until The King of all Phoenix's Revived Creaton and Joined souls with him. When Arcadios found out about this he didnt seem that upset about it because he knew the power of the Dragons far exceded the Power of he Phoenix but little did he know that the phoenix is revived every 10 year and when the Phoenix was revived he then again lended his power to Creaton thus giving him more power and an Edge of Arcadios, Acounting for his loses due to his opponents new found strenght Arcadios with drew to the Eastern Continent there creating his own kingdom of Arcadia. After much celebrations Creaton founded the kingdom of Creaton. There everyone lived in peace and Harmony, waiting for the day that Arcadios will strike again.

Nice. Sounds great! Your a WHOLE lot better in describing characters then i am!

The story is neat, though It could use a smidget of work.
I do have to say, the mapping could use a little bit of work.
But, so far, so good!

yeah the mappings not so great, im mainly trying to get the story in place first then ill worry about the mapping and balancing the game and all that , thanks for the comment I like ur game to. What do you think I could do to improve it more.

when you let the player choose a name can you get npcs to say that name or, For example if the character orginal name was bob then you named him fred could you make the npcs say fred.

Well, I hust played  it. It crashed. So, I guess I will have to wait to play it.

Anyway, you could work on your sprites a little. The face sets didn't match in style, so it was a little strange. (I know this by looking at the graphics in the folders).
Might work on the story alittle. it IS a little helter-skelter (not saying it's bad)
Well...that is really all there is to fix. (besides mapping.

Also, to make NPCs say your name, use this instead of Bob/fred
Replace x with whatever character it is in the database.

Okay, so first:
Fix the grammar in your story description.It was quite hard to read at places.The story itself was quite good, but a little hard to understand.

You said that one of your game characters had black eyes, though I see red eyes .And Timbo... is just... a lame name.

The mapping needs some work, there are quite lots of empty places.Make the map size smaller, or add more stuff into the map in empty places.

By the way, can you add some alternate download links?Megauplod doesn't let me download anythings and says I need their toolbar.AND I HATE USELESS TOOLBARS.

ok thanks for pointing that out about the eyes i need to upload another demo soon anyway and I'll fix the grammer anyway but with the maps im not really working on making them look excellent just yet im more working on the storyline

That just means that a picture, item, character, monster, anything, that was going to be used right there was deleted by accident.

yeah ive restarted this project on XP so it will take a little longer to be completed but it will be done soon
