Anyone tried VX yet?

Well, I just downloaded the trial. Seems pretty much like XP, with one major difference: The graphics. As I haven't seen any vids or screenies of VX before, I was shocked by the graphics. They are so god damn beautiful.
Anyone else tried VX yet? What are your thoughts on it?

It is.
Well, it looks pretty awesome. but I don't get some stuff...
Where are the 3 layers? How will it work without them?
The battle is uglier as ever!
Doesn't seem to have many new features...

DOWNLOAD HERE
HOLY FRAK ITS AWESOME.
I dont even care about the graphics, I wont use them anyhow. It takes all of the features I liked about XP, And 2K3 and rolled them into one.
Now ive gotta finish QuestRPG so I can start Genia up again

I'm working on an RTP-only game to get to know this maker, but it's pretty much just the same as XP.
Also, what 2k3 features are you talking about? I still think this lacks many of the 2k3 features I loved.

You get the side view with some scripts i believe.
XP ones, i think, should work. There are already VX resource sites though.
THE MAIN FEATURE I WAS MISSING FROM 2K# that WAS NOT PRESENT in XP
was the ability to show parralax Backgrounds in the map editor.
Ill check more into the side view.
The event preconditions are more similar to 2K3

I think Gemini is right. You have to use a script to do it. It shouldn't be too hard though to find one though. I remember seeing a sample game with a side-view battle system and you should be able to use that. They all should be available on Enterbrain's main site.
At first glance it doesn't have that many features, but I'm finding out that it's AMAZING if you can code CBSs and stuff. I'm happy.

I think you use the letters A,B,C,D,E on the left.
I've got the green light. I get to buy it by next week.

There should be no problem with posting sites as long as they dont link to any illegal downloads
