I can't import my pictures

Umm i keep trying to post this pic and the site keeps saying:
Error this file is not an allowed file type.what is a an allowed file type PNG JPEG
BMP or what?

edit: Oooooohh, on the SITE. Gotcha. It has to be a PNG. Use www.photobucket.com, or www.imageshack,us if you want to make this easier on youerslf.

Then it's the color depth: RPG Maker 2000/2003 supports only 265-colored pics. Save the pic as 265-colored bitmap with Paint and then import the pic to RPG Maker.

Never save  as a 256 color in Paint.  It will ruin your colors.  Use a program like ultimate paint or Paint shop pro.  Just not paint.

EDIT:

To upload an image onto charas it has be to a PNG, JPG, or BMP file.  just go open it up in paint, and save it as a png.
