Main info:

Kikirou was always aware of demons in this world. He knew that they wandered wherever they pleased, that some were watching us, that some were plotting. That they have existed long before we did. That they spited our god and his creations. Creatures of pure essence. Creations of pure power, untainted by blood, skin, and sense. That these creatures could trick, seduce, and empower. That they could kill with a glance if they wanted. Kikirou only shared this idea with one other person. His friend, Devon.

Devon was alone, all he had was Kikirou. He was very anti-social, quiet even around Kikirou. He was always so scrawny and weak, no matter how much he would work out. Devon was trapped in a weak little body. Maybe that's why he made the choice he made. Paper with strange symbols written on it seem to be an interest to Kikirou and Devon. Each find five sheets and before their eyes, in different locations, they each face the same demon who delivers them the same offer.

It was a promise of power in return for finding more of the sheets. Unimaginable power, direct from himself. The demon was fierce and scary to them. Kikirou was paranoid and knew the demon could have nothing of any advantage to him and denied his offer. Devon accepted.

Sub info:

This 'paper' was written in pure essence, keeping the paper preserved through time. But how far back? Where did this paper come from? Who wrote on them? These are questions Kikirou asks as he discovers that the paper can warp reality. By merely thinking of something while holding the paper, the paper will catch fire for a brief second, burning off a piece. The object pictured in the users mind becomes real. Kikirou is pleased as he also finds he can do much more with the paper, anything he wants, but it finally hits him that the more complex the action he wishes for, the more paper is burned in the process. He also considers that he only has so many sheets. Eventually, he'll have to find more if he wishes to continue his fun. Inevitably, Kikirou meets a new demon who wants nothing but to destroy the sheets he bears, possibly killing Kikirou in the process.

Summary:
-The demon will be set free if the all of the pages are burned.
-The will be demons fighting for possession of papers, hoping to use them up in return for more power.
-Kikirou must fight his only friend because of the mistake he made.
-The demon of the pages can easily kill anyone with a mere blink of his eye, even while he is trapped in ghost world, but he chooses to keep Kikirou aive until he can find and burn all of the pages.
-Kikirou must find as many pages as he can and keep anyone from ever using them all.


Game features:
-The game will not use typical MP for attacks. Instead they will use pages, of course. I hope that by doing this, I can limit the use of magic spamming, and hopefully have the player switch between physical and magical attacks for every character. Also, I hope to keep "whole-game strategies" from coming up. I'm trying to prevent strategies that can get you through every battle without using the same strategies over and over.
-Will include a Custom Battle System of my own design. I believe it will be much simpler to use than most "Magic -> Skills -> Attack" battle system.
-A creation skill to build your own armor and weapons based on your total level and skills learned.
-A 'Concentrate' skill used by Kikirou, Devon, and Sven to have a chance of spawning new pages.

Characters:

Kikirou - Age 22
An intelligent college student that angers fairly easily. He is curious and wishes to understand that matters. Kikirou does not take others int o consideration and feels that what he knows should be common sense. He is somewhat egotistical, but makes up for it in helpfulness. Kikirou is often referred to as 'Kiki.' Others find it offensive, but he doesn't mind. He is commonly asked if he is of Japanese origin, but explains he doesn't know himself, as he never bothered. Kikirou discovers pieces of paper with strange writing on them and realizes that it is far too extensive to be mere scribbling. Almost a separate language. Upon studying the papers' symbols, he is constantly led back to the tale of Goath and the assassination attempt of Jesus Christ himself. The tale is so sketchy, Kikirou does not believe it, but the rest of the campus seems to, including Devon.

Battle style: Kikirou is a varied fighter, with some decent attacks and page spells. He can take a few hits, but when the battle gets tough, he can use spells to make himself stronger or more agile. Kikirou uses a lot of influence, so keeping his strength and intelligence high can make him really useful.




Devon - Age 20
A silent one, he is. But around Kikirou, he seems too excited. Devon can easily be descirbed as the 'bookworm' on the campus. It is obvious his intelligence challenges Kikirou's, as he was able to skip two grades, as Kikirou was not. Devon listens, and the school knows it. He would make money from other students by telling them secrets he's heard of their closest friends. He would know where and when rumors started and who started them. But, Devon mostly keeps to himself and won't explain his plummeting grades. His only friend is Kikirou because he's never really reached out to others. Devon finds some of the pages after Kikirou drops them in the hallway, he confronts the demon and accepts the offer laid out before him.

Battle style: Devon is incredibly weak, making him pretty much useless in battle against enemies that really pack a punch. Devon has pitiful physical attacks, but has spells that can make or break a battle. The few spells he learns are some of the most powerful and useful in the game, a lot of which are influenced by his intelligence. But when all else fails, Devon makes a decent medic, considering his speed.




Sven - Age 17
After learning of a 'guardian of the pages,' Sven visits Kikirou in his room. Sven tells Kikirou she is a demon and wishes to aid him, but Kikirou does not believe her. Sven is bossy and much tougher than most people are. Sven seems to know a lot more about the pages than Kikirou does and knows how to use them more efficiently than him. She cannot take an insult and will explode at any remark made towards her.
