Nameless game: Code named: The Menos Chronicles. (Demo included)

Hello all. This is my...well, I lost count of the games I've tried to make, but this is the first I'm showing off.

The Menos Chronicles, while not the final name, is set in the world of (you guessed it) Menos. While I havn't gotten around to making the world itself yet, it is a world like our own, covered in many different types of places, from the arctic regions of the north and south, to volcano ridden hellho- er, hot spots.  Menos is inhabited by humans, elves, monsters, and demi-humans; a race of beings with animal features, ranging between full bodied, anthropomorphic animals, to humans with ears and/or tails. Years ago, Menos was besieged by demons, however, due to the heroic efforts of a young man, Zacory (I'm aware of the spelling) II, now known as Zacory Bloodsteel, and his friends, the demons were driven back, and Menos became peaceful once more.



 Zacory fathered a son, Zackory III, and lived his life in peace with his wife.
However, life was not meant to be this simple for the Hero.  Zacory and his wife fell victim to a deadly illness, the likes of which, most of the public can only speculate, leaving their son to live alone.

Years passed, and Zackory grew to a fine young man. He rarely uses the sword passed down to him by his father, and has only rudimentary skills in fighting, gained from fighting slimes, and other weak monsters. One night, however, Zackory is taken from his home, being brought before the royal family on charges of murder of the general of Ronoko, a nearby Kingdom.



He is sent to Miznir, a prision known as "The Clean Execution grounds." for the fact many of the prisoners never survive past their first year.

After ten years, Zackory is free.

Returning to Ronoko in search of the love of his life, Zackory is shocked to find that the town is over-run by demons, lead by a demon lord named Faulkner in pursuit of something Faulkner refers to as "Siri." What is this Siri? Why are the demons looking for it? Did Zackory truly murder the general? All these questions, and more, will be answered by the time this tale is through. With multiple endings, and (hopefully) datable women,  Welcome to the world of Menos.

Short Bio: Son of a great hero, he inherited his sword from his father. Zack was then sent to Miznir for ten years to die. He, however, did not. Zack has lost much of the joy in his heart over the ten years, but he still holds a basic justice in his heart. While he still pines for his love, the love has faded over the years, opening his heart to new possibilities, although he still feels very strongly towards the woman he fell for as a teenager.

Short Bio: Whoever this strange woman is, no one really knows.  She had visited Zack the night before he left for Miznir, and left him with a ring and letters. She feels very strongly for Zack, or at least did ten years ago. She has yet to be seen again after Zack's return. The first letter of her name is S.

Stella:
Age: 26
Sex: Female
Race: Human
Role: Pirate & Possible love interest.
Weapon: Whip
Personal Weapon: Stella's Tri-lash.
Short Bio: A pirate who encounters Zack multiple times throughout his journey. She harbors a crush on her captain, Captain Orion, or Cap O Rion, as he's better known. She fights Zack when she first meets him, but she respects the pirate way (Take what you want, have no fear, ect).

Minith (Won't be encountered in THIS demo, I just really like her!)
Age: 28 (She claims)
Sex: Female
Race: Nymph*
Role: Possible love interest, healer and earth magic caster.
Weapon: Bow
Personal Weapon: Fairy's kiss.
Short bio: A young Nymph who decides to help out Zack when he meets her for reasons she doesn't explain. She's very intelligent, but very naive, having never been outside of her grove in her life. Very fun-loving and curious. (Utterly. Adorable.)
Nymph*: Demi-Humans with much greater magic powers than others. They are trying to seperate into their own race, but meeting a good deal of resistance from other Demi-Humans.

Faulkner
Age: Unknown
Sex: Male
Race: Demon Lord
Role: Antagonist
Weapon: Pure magical ability
Personal weapon: N/A
Short Bio: Not much is known about Faulkner, other than he has slight mood swings (often from angry to VERY angry.) He's leading a band of demons in the search of some key he calls 'Siri.' Deadly intelligent, somewhat sadistic, and willing to do anything to get what he wants, this is certainly not a demon to trifle with. He is also much more attractive than other demon Lords...Hm.

Lee
Age: 18
Sex: Whatever he feels like at the moment.
Role: OVERLORD!!!! *Cough* Sorry, Laharl moment.
Weapon: Anything and Everything
Personal weapon: See above.
Short Bio: This is me, the overlord of Menos. Not to be confused with the Never Fading, the Goddess. I rule all in this world, and thus, I'll pop in along with my siblings, together known as  L'Enfant Terrible (The Terrible Children (Yes, I stole that)). to keep the game moving, and sometimes, just because I'm bored.

Oh, aye, I used RPGmaker2000 for this one.

Warning! I made some mistakes in the game, and I thought it was ready, when it's not. It's transferred from RPGmaker2003, so it may crash. Please tell me if it does so. Also, the story isn't as far as I thought it was, so I'll be along to kick it in the rear in the part I missed.

2000. I like the look of 2000 more.
It was originally going to be in 2003, but I transferred it over, so it may try to access 2K3's graphics.

That's too bad. I actually prefer to see the battle characters like in 2k3.

I did to, but it's a major pain in the arse to match up created characters and Battlechars.
Especially if I use guest characters, or characters like cat girls, etc. Ya feel me?
