Though I do not disagree on several points on gemini. I think he watches too much 4chan, so I blame 4chan.

Honestly, why is this thread open? Its not serving a purpose. the request was filled...OOPS I MEAN prpl 'won' the 'contest' I havent posted in 2 pages, and this kid has still found a way to bring my name into this on every second post he makes.

True. When mods lock things it make people not like them them or the administration a lot. The forum is realy like a country when you think abou it. You do somthing the pepole don't like and they revolt.

I agree, and it's really a problem with a difference of opinion. But, in my view, things are more clear cut with Requests than they are with All of All. As I said in the other thread, if an AoA thread goes off-topic after the primary topic has finished, that's fine - we all agreed that. But, if a Requests thread is fulfilled and hence has no further purpose, and then descends into off-topic chatter and spam, that's not acceptable, and the thread should be locked if the spam is serious or ongoing enough to warrant it.

Of course, not everyone will see things as I do, so for the time being I'll just lock fewer threads and be Mister Stern And Watchful.
