Sample Chapter

Most of you that are currently viewing this probably remember the story I kept on posting here a little while back, huh? It went by the same name, and I posted a chapter every time I happened to write one. Well, it didn't gather all that much interest, so I decided to stop. However, now that I've gone further in to the story, I've decided to post a little "sample" from the newest chapter. It's just a little thing to see if it gathers any more interest.
Any comments and such are all welcome. However, all hateful comments or things like "tl:dr LOL" will be ignored.
Thank you. =)
Chapter SEVEN: Tragedies Steeped In Black.
PAGE 102 (five panels)
Panel 1. Large Panel. Andrew is standing in an entirely black room—he being the only point of light. We are looking in upon the scene from behind and above Andrew.
1 SFX: BA-BUMP
Panel 2. A sketchy image of William. He is grinning sadistically, and has his eyes rolled up in to his head.
2 SFX: BA-BUMP
Panel 3. We are facing Andrew. His eyes are white and lifeless, and he stands perfectly still. Nothing but darkness surrounds him.
3 SFX: BA-DUMP
Panel 4. Sketchy image of William's smile grow ever larger, taking upon it a much more dark, intense, and insane feeling.
4 SFX: BA-BUMP
Panel 5. Completely black panel.
5 SFX: BA-DUMP
PAGE 103 (five panels)
Panel 1. The same basic structure and layout as Panel 3, Page 102, but now a very mannequin-esque William is falling forward from out of the darkness, and on to Andrew. William is completely white and bears doll-like qualities. He still has that same grin on his face that we had seen in Panel 4 or Page 102.
1 SFX: RRRRMMMMMM
Panel 2. We are looking on from the side. William has slumped against the back of Andrew, and is wrapping his arms around his torso. They are both falling forward in to the darkness.
2 SFX: DMP
Panel 3. A semi top-down view. Andrew has landed, but it is water rather than solid land like we had been lead to believe. There is a splash, and he is only half-submerged from his waist up. (the rest of his body remaining dry, as it still is sitting on a solidified area of the floor). The water its self is also dark in appearance, though lighter than the surrounding area.
3 SFX: SPLASH!
Panel 4. We are looking up at Andrew's face as he is submerged in the water. Small air-bubbles float out from his mouth as his breath escape him. His eyes are closed, and it is as if he is sleeping. He is very relaxed—very calm, cool and and is even enjoying it to a slight degree. He doesn't seem to know what is going on around him.
Panel 5. A small panel. Andrew has begun to open his eyes, though it is only by a sliver.
4 ANDREW (Thinking): ...?
PAGE 104 (four panels)
Panel 1. We witness the shocking image of Andrew awakening to a horribly disfigured, scarred, and mutilated image of William's body. His one remaining eye greets Andrew. Andrew has begun to squirm about in a frantic panic.
Panel 2. The very doll-like copy of William that had previously wrapped its self around Andrew is now attempting to hold him under the water. He is lying against Andrew's back, and has both hands pressed firmly down upon the back of Andrew's head. William wears a playful smile, and is not taking any of this seriously (or that is that he looks, at least).
WILLIAM: CAN YOU FEEL IT? THE PLEASURING HANDS OF DEATH AS THEY INCH THEIR WAY ACROSS YOUR SKIN? YOU WANT TO ACCEPT IT, DON'T YOU? YOU WISH TO EMBRACE IT FULLY, YES? TO FOREVER EXPERIENCE THIS BLISSFUL FEELING—THIS ETERNAL PEACE? LOOK, I SHALL ASSIST YOU...!
SFX: DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE
Panel 3. Andrew has reached up and grabbed hold to one of William's arms. He holds a tight grip, squeezing it as hard as he can. William looks to this act in slight surprise.
SFX: FLOOSH!
WILLIAM: OH! WHAT'S THIS?
Panel 4. Andrew has begun to pull William under the water in his stead, forcing him down in to the position he had previously been locked in.
ANDREW: AUP...GAH...!
WILLIAM: WHAT ARE YOU DOING...?
PAGE 105 (five panels)
Panel 1. We see this scene as it occurs beneath the surface of the water. Andrew now has his around around William's neck, but William does not show even a hint of fear—he instead gives a cynical smile, as his eyes fill with an almost playful, yet sinister light. He accepts what is going on, and does not put up a fight. Andrew on the other hand is very frantic and rushed in his actions, and shows extreme fear and desperation in his actions and expressions.
WILLIAM: WHY...? WHY ARE YOU IN SUCH A HURRY TO KILL ME? IS IT SUPERIOR WILL TO LIVE? YES...I BELIEVE IT IS. YOU'RE TRYING TO END MINE BEFORE I TAKE YOURS. IT'S ONLY NATURAL...
Panel 2. William is reaching up to Andrew with both of his arms. He is making an attempt to grasp Andrew's, but not in a desperate way. He is calm while doing so, as he has all the time in the world.
WILLIAM: BUT YOU'RE BLIND. IN THIS SELF-INDUCED FEAR YOU'VE CAST UPON YOURSELF, YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO CLEARLY SEE THAT IT IS NOT I WHO YOU ARE TRYING TO KILL. RATHER...
Panel 3. A close-up shot on what used to be William's face (the one Andrew has dragged bellow the water). Andrew now has his hands wrapped tightly around his own neck (not literally his own, but rather another person who looks exactly like him. He has taken William's place.) Blood is seeping from his mouth, and he appears to have taking a terrible beating, with bruises, cuts, scratches and marks covering his face. This “other” Andrew wears a deathly expression of fear and terror.
WILLIAM: IT IS YOUR VERY SELF!
Panel 4. 1/3 View shot from above the water's surface. Andrew is pushing himself up out of the water and above its surface, having let go of the persons neck.
ANDREW: AH...AHHH...!!!
WILLIAM: AH HA HA HA. WHAT'S THE MATTER? DIDN'T YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAD THIS FEELING DEEP WITHIN YOURSELF? THE DESIRE TO BRING AN END TO EVERYTHING, AND ATTAIN AN ETERNAL PEACE? EVERYONE HAS IT, BUT MOST DON'T SEEM TO REALIZE IT. YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. IN MOMENTS OF DESPAIR, WE WISH FOR EVERYTHING TO RETAIN THAT CONTENT HAPPINESS WE ALL HAVE FELT IN OUR LIVES AT LEAST ONCE.
Panel 5. An entirely black panel.
WILLIAM: BUT THE SAD TRUTH IS...THAT FEELING WILL NEVER LAST, NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU PRAY. YOU JUST HAVE TO REALIZE THIS, AND AGAIN MOVE ON TO A TIME WHERE YOU WILL ONCE AGAIN MEET WITH IT. BUT BECOME TOO DETATCHED FROM REALITY...
Page 106 (The entire page).
Panel 1. This entire page is once enormous panel. However, we can barely make out any of the images about to be described, as they are black—cast in shadow against the pure white background. A taller, older boy holds tight to a younger boy's neck. The younger boy is limp and lifeless, void entirely of life. He is dead, but the older one continues to strangle him.
WILLIAM: AND YOU BEGIN TO THINK THAT THIS DISPAIR IS THE ONLY FEELING TO HAVE EVER EXISTED. YOU FORGET WHAT THIS “HAPPINESS” FEELS LIKE, AND YOU WILL CONSTANTLY WAGE WAR WITH YOURSELF—A WAR THAT YOU CAN NOT WIN.
FEAR, PAIN, ANGER, DISGUST, SADNESS, RAGE, ENVY...AND A WHOLE OTHER PLETHORA OF EMOTIONS BEGIN TO SETTLE IN TO YOUR BEING! EVERYONE IS HAPPY, BUT YOU ARE NOT. WHY IS IT THAT THEY SMILE WHILE YOU FROWN? HOW IS IT THAT THEY ARE GRANTED FREEDOM AND PEACE WHILE YOU REMAIN ETERNALLY IMPRISONED!? YOU DISPISE THEM...BUT THEN DISPISE YOURSELF MORE FOR NOT EVEN TRYING. BUT WHY SHOULD YOU? YOU THINK EVERYTHING WILL REMAIN ETERNALLY THE SAME, FOR AS LONG AS YOU LIVE.
ONCE LOST, IT IS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO GET YOURSELF BACK! BECOME A SLAVE TO THESE EMOTIONS, AND YOU SHALL SLOWLY FADE AWAY FROM THE REALITY YOU ONCE KNEW. NOTHING ANYONE TELLS YOU SEEMS TO MATTER, AS THEY ARE LIES. BUT WHY ARE THEY LIES? THAT THOUGHT NEVER CROSSES THE MIND. CLOSE FRIENDS BECOME ENEMIES, AND EVERYONE YOU EVER LOVED...ARE THROWN ASIDE.
PAGE 107 (5 panels)
Panel 1. It looks like none of the previous events have ever occurred. Andrew stands erect—just as he was when he was first brought in to this grim environment.
WILLIAM: IT IS ONLY A SMALL SENSATION, REARING ITS HEAD ONLY WHEN YOU BECOME OVERTAKEN BY GRIEF OR ANGER. DEPENDING ON THE INDIVUDUAL, THEY MAY OR MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ENDURE THE FEELING BEFORE FINALLY GIVING IN. TELL ME, IS THIS ANY WAY TO GO?
Panel 2. We are positioned bellow Andrew, and are looking up to see him gaze down to his shaking hands. He has broken out in to a cold sweat, and looks very frantic and frightened.
WILLIAM: “WE ARE ALL GIVEN A PURPOSE IN THIS LIFE.” THEY SAY THAT, BUT WHAT OF THOSE WHO WERE MERELY BORN TO DIE? WHAT PURPOSE HAVE THEY SERVED? THUS...THERE MUST BE SOMETHING BEYOND THIS, RIGHT?
Panel 3. We are again looking down on Andrew. He stands as a single beacon of light within the darkness, and we begin to drift further and further away .
WILLIAM: BUT WHAT IF THERE IS NOTHING? SO MANY PEOPLE CONDEM THOSE WHO FEEL SADNESS, BUT IS IT BECAUSE THEY THEMSELVES DO NOT WANT TO BE DEVOURED BY THIS VERY DARKNESS? THEY WISH TO REMAIN ETERNALLY HAPPY? DOES SUCH A THING EVEN EXIST?
Panel 4. The same as Panel 3, but now we have grown even further away. We can barely see the point of light within the sea of darkness.
WILLIAM: MY NIGHTMARE—OUR NIGHTMARE...IS THIS VERY BLACKNESS. IN A SINGLE MOMENT OF HAPPINESS, WE SEE OURSELVES AS BEING TUCKED SAFELY AWAY, FOREVER UNDER PROTECTION FROM THIS LOOMING SHADOW. BUT ONCE WE LOSE OURSELVES TO THIS HOLLOWED STATE, ALL CONTACT WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD BECOMES VOID. THERE THEN ONLY EXISTS AN OCEAN OF DARKNESS—A SEA OF ETERNAL RAGE AND HEARTBREAK.
Panel 5. Black panel.
WILLIAM: HM HM... NO HUMAN CAN SAY THAT THEY HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED THIS. A GREATER LIE DOES NOT EXIST.
PAGE 108 (four panels)
Panel 1. We are shown the right hand of a boy. It is pure white, and extends from off-panel . It is nailed to something, with a nail having been driven through the palm.
WILLIAM: MY NIGHTMARE DOES NOT SOLELY BELONG TO MYSELF. IT IS NOT ORIGINAL, NOR ANYTHING SPECIAL. I SHARE IT WITH THE WORLD, AND WE ALL EQUALLY FEAR IT.
Panel 2. Now we are shown the right foot. It is also pure white, and has also been nailed to an object we can not see yet.
WILLIAM: BUT I HAVE FOUND A WAY TO LIBERATE US FROM THIS ETERNAL NIGHTMARE.
Panel 3. A dark panel showing a lone candle dimly lit with a small, flickering flame. It rests in one of those old candle holders (the ones with the looping handle).
WILLIAM: IT IS A WAY...TO SAVE ALL OF US FROM THE EMPTINESS. AND I OWE IT ALL...TO MY DEAR BROTHER FOR SHOWING TO ME THE SEED OF MY DESIRES.
Panel 4. We are looking closely at William's face. His head is hanging down in sorrow, a terrible feeling having come over him. He has lost all energy, and now has begun to naturally hang under gravity's tow.
WILLIAM: I WAS NEARLY OVERCOME BY THE BLACKNESS MYSELF. BUT...I WAS THEN ENLIGHTENED. I PROCURED THE ONLY WAY TO SAVE MYSELF FROM THIS MAN-MADE HELL...
PAGE 109 (entire page)
Page 109. Andrew is taken back by the grotesque image before him. Just meters away from him, hovering over a sea of blood and corpses, is William. He has been crudely crucified to an old wooden cross. His head is still hanging low, while his other limbs remain motionless. Surrounding him is a mass of bodies—young an old, male a female alike, all piled on top of one and other in a gruesome and inhumane way. Resting just outside of the massive mounds of flesh are countless candles, all alight and flickering with a dim flame. They rest just above the blood's surface.
WILLIAM: ...AND THAT WAS TO ELIMINATE THE VESSELS THROUGH WHICH THIS CHAOS WAS BORN. OF COURSE...BOTH RAUBEN AND VINCI LENT ME THEIR ASSISTANCE.
BUT WHAT OF MY FRIENDS? MY FAMILY? DO NOT WORRY...THEY WERE THE FIRST TO FACE LIBERATION. THIS LIGHT YOU SEE...IT PROTECTS ALL OF US FROM THE APPROACHING SHADOW. IT KEEPS THE DARKNESS AT BAY.
LOOK! I HAVE EVEN OFFERED MY BODY TO THEM! WE SHALL REMAIN ETERNALLY CONNECTED....FOREVER SAFE FROM THE EMPTINESS!
PAGE 110 (five panels)
Panel 1. We are positioned next to one of the corpses, looking over to Andrew who is now in the distance.
SFX (BODY): I...DON'T WANT...TO GO. PLEASE, PLEASE...HELP ME...
ANDREW: WHAT THE HELL...IS ALL OF THIS? W-WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU “LIBERATED” THEM...? THEY'RE DEAD... THEY'RE ALL DEAD!!!
Panel 2. A side (or maybe 1/3, ¼) view of William. He has risen his head a small bit, and has begun to wear a faint smile.
WILLIAM: YOU'RE VERY OBSERVANT, AREN'T YOU? YES...THEY'RE. BY KILLING THEM, I HAVE SAVED THEM FROM THE FUTURE THAT WAS TO SOON BEFALL THEM.
Panel 3. We are now positioned far away from both Andrew and William, and are able to see their entire bodies in this shot. This scene is viewed from the side.
ANDREW: NO! THAT'S NOT... YOU'VE TAKEN EVERYTHING AWAY FROM THEM!
WILLIAM: WHAT? BUT THEY PLEADED FOR DEATH, I MERELY-
ANDREW: NO! SHUT UP! STOP...STOP SAYING THAT WHAT YOU DID WAS SOME ACT OF KINDNESS. IT WASN'T!
Panel 4. Andrew is throwing himself forward in a fit of rage. His emotions are finally starting to peek through, and are beginning to get the best of him.
ANDREW: YOU'VE ONLY FOOLED YOURSELF IN TO THINKING THAT ALL THEY WANTED WAS TO DIE. REALLY...? REALLY!? WHO THE HELL WOULD WANT THAT!?
Panel 5. Small panel showing William's pupil dilate due to his growing anger.
WILLIAM: “WHO”?
PAGE 111 (five panels)
Panel 1. William has risen his head further, and now wears a crude smile. His eyes have become wide and full of anger.
WILLIAM: YOU! ME!EVERYONE...EVERYTHING!!! WHY WOULD WE NOT WANT WHAT WE MUST UBDOUBTEDLY FACE!? THE QUICKER IT COMES, THE LESS PAIN AND FEAR YOU HAVE TO EXPERIENCE! DEATHS LEADS ONLY TO PARADISE!
Panel 2. Andrew has grown more full of rage, continuing to thrust himself forward with expressive gestures.
ANDREW: LIFE...? BULLLSHIT! WHAT ABOUT EVERYTHING THEY WENT THROUGH WHEN THEY WERE ALIVE!? WHAT WAS IT FOR? YOU ASKED THE SAME DAMN QUESTION...AND NOW YOU'RE ANSWERING IT WISH BIASED ASSUMPTIONS!
Panel 3. We are getting a closer look at William's face, and are given a more in-depth glance at the madness swirling around in his eyes.
ANDREW: ALL OF THOSE GREAT TIMES...THEY CAN HAPPEN AGAIN. THOSE MOMENTS WHERE YOU LOVED TO BE ALIVE. IF ONLY FOR A MOMENT, THAT ONE SMILE CAN LIGHT A SMALL FLAME. A FLAME THAT WILL ALWAYS BE THERE...SOMEWHERE. IT CAN SHOW ITS SELF AGAIN. YOU-
Pane 4. William is finally releasing the rage he has allowed to build up inside of him. He is thrusting himself forward and thrashing about, trying to throw himself at Andrew.
WILLIAM: SHUT UP! THE FIRST TIME YOU SPEAK SINCE YOU GOT HERE, AND ALL YOU CAN DO IS RIDDLE OFF BULLSHIT! DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!?
Panel 4. Andrew's eyes are wide open—he is surprised. He looks like he is tired and stressed out, and bags have begun to form under his eyes. He is confused, yet surprised. An odd combination.
ANDREW: ...
WILLIAM: AM I RIGHT? I KNEW IT. YOU SPEAK OF BIASED ACTIONS, AND YET YOU YOURSELF PARTICIPATE IN SPITTING OUT SUCH NONSENSE. HAH.
PAGE 112 (five panels)
Panel 1. The lead wire Andrew uses as a weapon has been ejected out of his hand. It extends a good meter away from his hand, and acts as a blade.
ANDREW: BUT AT LEAST I DIDN'T KILL ANYONE...
Panel 2. William has begun to press forward, having become amused with what Andrew has to say. He is intrigued.
WILLIAM: WHAT? I DON'T THINK I HEARD YOU. WOULD YOU MIND REPEATING IT?
Panel 3. William has become suddenly surprised, and even frightened.
ANDREW: I SAID...
Panel 4. Andrew has suddenly appeared above William, and he is battle-ready. He is about to thrust his blade in to William's head. William has turned his head upward towards Andrew in a frantic manner, and is quite surprised. We are positioned behind William.
SFX: !!!
ANDREW: AT LEAST I DIDN'T KILL ANYONE!!!
Panel 5. A small droplet of blood has fallen in to the massive vat of it bellow, causing a ripple effect.
SFX: BLIP
PAGE 113 (six panels)
Panel 1. We see both Andrew's and Williams shadow cast upon the blood's surface. Andrew has become suspended in mid-air, with two spike-like appendages emerging from out of the bloody water to hold him there.
WILLIAM: OH... YOU'RE MAD, ARE YOU? WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE TO BE MAD? IS IT BECAUSE I KILLED ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE? PLEASE, THEY DESERVED TO DIE!!!
Panel 2, 3 and 4. A series of small panel that grow darker and more intense the closer we get to William's eye (that is in profile view). He has become crazed. Each of the following words corresponds to a panel, flowing in the same way.
WILLIAM: EVERY. LAST. ONE.
Panel 5. Andrew had been stopped after coming mere centimeters from striking William. However, two long, zombie-like arms have extended from out of the bloody water and skewered him, holding him in mid-air.
ANDREW: LIKE....LIKE HELL. NO ONE DESERVES TO DIE...! NO ONE... OTHER THAN THE PEOPLE WHO WOULD WILLINGLY TAKE ANOTHERS LIFE...!!!
WILLIAM: OH...HO HO HO. YOU POOR, IGNORANT ****. IF YOU ONLY KNEW THEM, THEN YOU WOULD REALIZE MY PAIN! THE PAIN THEY MADE ME SUFFER THROUGH...!!!
Panel 6. We see Andrew from William's eyes. He is not filled with rage or anger anymore, but rather sadness and sympathy.
ANDREW: I MAY NOT KNOW THEM... BUT WHAT I SEE IN FRONT OF ME IS A CHILD... A CHILD WHO IS AFRAID OF THE DARK.
PAGE 114 (six panels)
Panel 1. The two arms that have skewered Andrew has throw him back and smashed him against the invisible wall of the dome.
WILLIAM: SHUT UP!
Panel 2. Andrew is resting on top of the solidified water. The two appendages still have a hold of him. He looks unconscious—being very limp, and not making an effort to get up.
WILLIAM: YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME!? DON'T FLATTER YOURSELF! YOU DON'T KNOW A DAMN THING!
Panel 3. A flashback to the young girl standing in the door to the old shop Andrew, Maria, and Jason had entered not too long ago. She wears a long, crooked grin.
ANDREW: ...
Panel 4. Another flashback. The young girl has her arm stretching out to Andrew, ready to take something from him. In the same panel, we are given closer inspection to her eyes. They are very innocent looking, and kind.
ANDREW (THOUGHT): WAS IT REALLY LIKE THAT? I'M...SURE. YOU LOOK SO...INNOCENT. SO KIND...
ANDREW (THOUGHT): IT WAS ALL HIM. WILLIAM...
Panel 5. Flashback. The young girl is crying and in rage as she tears the note with a drawing of her brother on it to shreds.
LITTLE GIRL: IT WAS...SO GOOD. SO WHY...? WHY!? ANSWER ME!!! YOU CAN'T, CAN YOU? I HATE YOU! YOU USELESS PIECE OF ****!
ANDREW (THOUGHT): I DO KNOW YOU. YOU TOLD ME...EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW. YOU'RE JUST TRYING TOO HARD TO GET IT OUT.
Panel 6. Small panel showing the bottom-half of the girls face. Tears are rolling down her cheeks. She is in pain.
LITTLE GIRL: HELP...ME...
PAGE 115 (four panels)
Panel 1. Andrew has risen his head, and turned his weak gaze towards William.
ANDREW: WHY...DID YOU TRY AND TELL ME BACK THEN? I'M HERE NOW, BUT YOU COMPLETELY AVOID THE TOPIC...
Panel 2. William has begun to calm down. The rage he had been holding has now been traded for confusion and bewilderment.
WILLIAM: WHAT? WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'M GOING OFF TOPIC?
Panel 3. Both of the arms have begun to lift Andrew in to the air. He remains limp.
ANDREW: THE LITTLE GIRL, THE PICTURE, THE WORDS...YOU TOLD ME EVERYTHING. SO WHY...?
Panel 4. A flashback. We see the sketch of the young boy that Andrew thought reminded him of Devon. The boy is smiling—he is happy.
ANDREW: WAS THAT...YOU?
PAGE 116 (two panels)
Panel 1. A large panel that takes up the top-half of the page. Included in this panel are a multitude of flashbacks, all relating back to that one girl Andrew met back in the shop. We also see Andrew find the picture, the girl hand it to him, etc.
WILLIAM: I DID SHOW YOU THE DRAWING, DIDN'T IT...? NO, WAIT. DO NOT TRY AND PASS THIS OFF AS SOMETHING OF GREAT IMPORTANCE! IT WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A TRAP! YOU ARE LOOKING TOO FAR IN TO THIS!
ANDREW: YOU WANTED SOMEONE TO TALK TO. SOMEONE...TO TELL. NO ONE WAS LEFT.
WILLIAM: BULLSHIT...! IT'S A LIE! YOU DON'T KNOW ME! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!!!
ANDREW: YOU TRIED SO HARD TO STOP THIS “CURSE” THAT YOU YOURSELF BECAME ITS SOURCE. EVERYONE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE YOU, RIGHT? ALONE, WITHOUT POWER... BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU REALLY WANTED.
Panel 2. This panel covers the entire bottom-half of the page. The two arms have brought Andrew closer to William. William is leaning forward, filled with intrigue and anticipation.
WILLIAM: YOU'VE GOT IT ALL WRONG. WRONG!!!
ANDREW: REALLY!? THAT WHAT IS THE TRUTH, THEN? BECAUSE I FEEL THAT I'M PRETTY DAMN CLOSE...!
WILLIAM: REALLY? DO YOU? IS THAT WHAT YOU THINK!? AH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!
PAGE 117 (four panels)
Panel 1. A closer shot of William's face. He has grown very sad, and is fighting with himself to hold the tears from emerging. However, they still build up at the base of his eyes.
WILLIAM: HA HA HA...HA HA...HA... I-I ONLY WANTED HER TO LOVE ME. BUT HE'S THE ONE WHO GOT ALL THE ATTENTION! IF IT WASN'T FOR THAT...!!!
Panel 2. A flashback. A kind, gentle and loving woman holding a younger William in her arms stands in a blueberry field. This is a very soft, loving scene—try and stress that emotion here.
WILLIAM: I DID TRY AND MAKE THE BEST OF EVERYTHING. I DID TRY AND STAY STRONG... BUT WHEN NOTHING WORKED, I-I...ONLY WANTED HER TO LISTEN. I WANTED ANYONE TO LISTEN. BUT...
Panel 3. A flashback. The woman is tucking William in to bed, and has given him a goodnight kiss.
WILLIAM: MOM ALWAYS KNEW HOW TO MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER. I FELT SAFE.
Panel 4. A young William stands in a barren, lifeless field. The grass, trees, and flowers have all died, leaving only rotting earth. It is raining. There are a multitude of dead bodies littering the field, all sprawled about in a reckless manner. William is horrified by this sight, and is taken back in both surprise and disgust. Tears and trickling down over his cheeks.
WILLIAM: I DIDN'T WANT ANY OF THIS TO HAPPEN! BUT...IT WAS BECAUSE OF HIM THAT IT DID! BECAUSE OF LLOYD...
PAGE 118 (five panels)
Panel 1. A flashback. We see Lloyd, William's younger brother. He looks a bit like William, but with shorter, blond hair. He looks like a very innocent young boy, not meaning harm to anyone or anything. He is holding on to a large teddy bear, a smile on his face.
WILLIAM: I WAS IGNORED BECAUSE OF HIM! HE MAY HAVE BEEN YOUNGER THAN ME...BUT THAT GIVES THEM NO RIGHT TO REPLACE ME! I T WAS....NO REASON TO ABANDON ME!
Panel 2. In this panel, young William is standing alone in the darkness while Lloyd and their mother dance in the light. Young Lloyd is very happy, and really enjoying it.
WILLIAM: HE WAS ALWAYS MORE IMPORTANT. EVEN IF I NEEDED HER, SHE WAS NEVER THERE. THERE WAS ONLY LLOYD, AND NO ONE ELSE.
Panel 3. Black panel.
WILLIAM: SO I....I-I...I KILLED...HIM...!!!
Panel 4. We are shown an old photo of both Lloyd and William hugging. Both are happy. Droplets of blood have fallen on to the photo, and a blood-stained knife rests beside it.
WILLIAM: I GOT RID OF HIM. MY PROBLEM WAS SOLVED...RIGHT? IT'S GONE. I WANTED TO DO IT. I REALLY DID WANT TO DO IT...! I WANTED...IT...!!!
Panel 5. Andrew is looking sorrowfully down upon William. William has lowered his head and has begun to sob.
WILLIAM: I ONLY WANTED SOMEONE THERE TO LISTEN! I DIDN'T WANT ANY OF THIS! I DIDN'T WANT ANY OF IT!!! JUST SOMEONE THAT COULD MAKE ME FEEL BETTER, THAT'S ALL! HA....HA HA...
PAGE 119 (four panels)
Panel 1. William has forced a crooked smile. He is forcing himself to be happy, despite being in a state of complete sadness.
WILLIAM: BUT NOW IT'S ALL GONE...! I'LL BE THE ON TO PROTECT ALL OF US. WE WILL BE TOGETHER, FOREVER AND FOR ALWAYS! I WILL NEVER LEAVE, AND WILL ALWAYS LISTEN. HA HA HA...!!!
Panel 2. The arms holding on to Andrew have begun to lower him. He is nearing the bloody water, but still has his sight fixed upon William, who only sobs.
ANDREW: BUT KILLING THEM...WAS NOT THE RIGHT ANSWER. ALL OF THOSE GREAT TIME YOU SHARED WITH YOUR MOTHER...THOUGH IT DOESN'T LAST FOREVER, YOU COULD HAVE HAD THAT HAPPINESS AGAIN. IT IS ENOUGH TO KEEP SOME PEOPLE GOING. BUT NOW THAT YOU'VE DONE THIS...YOU'LL NEVER EXPERIENCE IT AGAIN.
Panel 3. The arms that were holding on to Andrew have begun to sink back in to the water. Andrew is now casually standing on its surface, gazing to William.
ANDREW: THEY—LIKE YOU—JUST WANTED TO BE HAPPY. EVERYONE DOES. BUT THEY CAN'T FEEL IT EVER AGAIN. THEY'RE DEAD. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU GO THROUGH, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TAKE THAT FEELING AWAY FROM SOMEONE ELSE!
Panel 4. Bellow the bloody waters surface. Many dead bodies lay waiting underneath the waters surface, all reaching for Andrew in a desperate attempt to end his life and make him join their ranks.
WILLIAM: NO...? BUT IF I CAN NOT HAVE IT, THEN WHY SHOULD THEY? I'M THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS. YOU WILL SOON COME TO UNDERSTAND THIS.

Are you going to draw this? Otherwise, it's quite tedious to read.
