Uh, no. You said you want to include every final fantasy character, I expect every damn Cid in fron the series in the game. You don't want to break your promise now, do you?

Seriously, including all those characters gives you little choice to balance your charcaters. Lets all count the characters shall we?

Warrior
Black Mage
White Mage
Thief
Black Belt
Red Mage
Knight
Black Wizard
White Wizard
Ninja
Master
Red Wizard
Firion
Mario
Guy
Leon
Minwu
Gordon
Josef
Leila
Ricard
Luneth
Arc
Refia
Ingus
Cecil
Kain
Rosa
Rydia
Yang
Edge
Edward
Cid
Tellah
Palom
Porom
FuSoYa
Butz
Lenna
Galuf
Farris
Krile
Terra
Locke
Edgar
Sabin
Cyan
Shadow
Gau
Setzer
Celes
Relm
Strago
Mog
Umaro
Gogo
Cloud
Tifa
Aeris
Barrett
Red XIII
Cid
Yuffie
Cait Sith
Vincent
Squall
Zell
Rinoa
Irvine
Quistis
Selphie
Zidane
Garnet
Vivi
Steiner
Freya
Quina
Eiko
Amarant
Tidus
Wakka
Yuna
Lulu
Kimarhi
Auron
Rikku
Paine

Not to mention continuity issues between FFX and FFX-2, and those're just the protagonists.

Now when you can choose a party with Auron, Steiner, Cloud, and Amarant, so overly powered by using Materia and GFs to give them white magic and black magic, where is the strategy? Where's the point to it?

The point is you can use whoever you want. And i wont make two versions of yuna and rikku from x and x-2 because they are the same person so no need.

The point of an RPG is that you include strategy and fun to the battles. Using those four powerhouses, combined with white and black magic via Materia and GFs, make it to where the battles become a tedious collection of mashing enter over and over again until you run into an enemy that can only be killed by black magic, which are few and far between, or when someone needs healed.

You are not thinking about this very well at all.

Only cloud could use materia and only character from 8 can use Gf's. each character will have their respective ability from the real game so even with powerhouses like them it would be difficult. and the point of the game is that if u love characters from two different games then throw them together in a team. it doesnt matter

Haha. Like this hasn't been thought of before.

Seriously. If I remember right from when I used to visit here more frequently you were a smart guy. You should know this wouldn't work, or at least it would be met with horrid disapproval. Your time and talents would be better spent on a more original project.

So you mean for some magical reason, despite these universes coming together, only characters from that game can use their respective stuff?

Zidane: So...Cloud...how can you use Black Magic?
Cloud: Because I have materia equipped.
Zidane: Can you teach me how to do that?
Cloud: No. You have to be from my game.
Zidane: But why?
Cloud: You just have to be from my game. Despite us being equally capable, you just ahve to be from my game.

Each game will have its own continent if you will. And noone will want to give away their secrets in case of war between them

And yet they are SO quick to work together and reveal how these secrets work while working together to save the world, because I doubt they equip their materia and junction the GFs while hiding behind a tree or a bush or in the shadows.

well what if the characters know they can only use certain things, since if they could other peoples stuff they would lose their current abilities.  So to make sure they can handle any scenerio they dont go into each others abilities.

So Zidane using Materia would get rid of his ability to Steal, something he's done all his life and his class is defined by this ability?
