Saddest moment in a comic book?

Spoiler heavy thread. I think. So be careful if you plan on reading any more comic books that could be sad.
I realize that most people here are video game nerds and not comic book nerds, but I thought, hey, why not.
For me, the saddest part ever in a comic was on Deadpool. Yes I'm serious.
On his first ongoing series, when he has to protect his girlfriend, Copycat, (which used to live with him before he even got his powers) from Weapon- X. He hides her in a zoo with some gorillas (because she was losing her shape-shifting powers, but animals were easier for her to change into), and goes outside to fight a bunch of mutants who want to kill them. He wins, then rushes back to the cage, only to find her and all the apes dead, with her blood on the wall, reading "Sabretooth was here".
That touched me more than any comic book had touched me before that point, or after that. And unlike most comic book characters she actually stayed dead. I could feel his pain. Copycat was the only thing at that point that prevented Deadpool from completely losing his mind and humanity, and turning into a complete madman. And I could also feel his rage, which led him to fight Sabretooth and the whole Weapon-X army, which killed him for real in the end. Though unlike Copycat, Deadpool is not the kind of character that stays dead, so he came back not so long after that. Still, her death was pretty ****ing sad.
What about you guys? I'm
sure
that there are people here who read comics, so please share.

Calvin and Hobbes isn't a sad comic to begin with, but one strip really yanked my heartstrings, more so now because I feel I can relate to it.
Calvin and his family (without Hobbes in tow) had just returned from another camping trip to find that their house had been broken into. Calvin began to panic immediately, wondering where Hobbes was and if he had been stolen. The story continued for a few strips, and in one strip Calvin commented, "Mom says no one would've wanted to steal Hobbes because he's not valuable. Well, I think he's valuable." He then sat in the floor and burst into tears. Hobbes was eventually found in Calvin's bed mere minutes later.
I feel I can relate to this seeing as my cat seemed to have vanish into thin air a few months ago. I began searching for her, certain that I would find her when my (drunk) mother decided to say (or slur, rather), "GEE I SURE HOPE SHE DIDN'T GET OUT WHEN THE BACK DOOR WAS OPEN LOL". Thank you, Mother, for intensifying the severity of the situation. BIG BABY ALERT: After not being able to find Nina for about an hour and a half (I had gone through nearly every nook and cranny within my house to find her), I began to take what my mother said into consideration and began to bawl my eyes out. Luckily, my brother found her hidden behind a few boxes and guitar cases underneath his bed.
I hope no one thinks any less of me.

I made a fortune in toothpicks, but I lost it all in a fire.

Oh, no. If anything, I think more of you for bringing up Calvin and Hobbes.

Well, I don't need to worry about that. My cat's always been indoor/outdoor, so no fear there. She knows where home is. My sister's cat is indoor only, but she's terrified of the outside.

Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?
It's Batman's funeral. It's trippy as hell. And it's a hardcore tearjerker.

I forget what exactly issue of Spider-Man this happened in, but there was a homeless girl whose box was filled with pictures of Spider-Man all over the walls. After seeing Spider-Man swinging over while fighting Vulture, she kisses a poster of Spider-Man and sleeps, before having a dream about swinging through the city with Spider-Man, while Thor and Iron Man fly by. Then it reveals her in the hospital, dying, and Spider-Man saying he always swung by that alley but never noticed her. He then kisses her and says "Sweet dreams."
There was also an old Batman comic where Bruce remembered his dad Thomas hitting him. Then Bruce said that he hates him and he wishes he was dead. Then his dad brings his wife and Bruce to see Zorro to make up for it. The realization that Bruce accidentally caused his parents' death is sad.
