And the community are complete dickwipes about it.
Honestly, I can't blame him.
Pretty much everybody in the actual thread for it was all "LOLOL go get it from the airplanes mod" or some similarly vapid bullshit.

Yeah, not really. My explanation would have been briefer and less insightful anyway, if I would even go into it.

But it's not exactly all though. It's more like the general modding community doesn't get the respect they should. It's the reason why the Clay Soldiers mod hasn't been updated to 1.1 anymore. A lot of Minecraft modders currently only do it for the money anyway, since they won't have the respect.

If it were a more respectable community, I wouldn't have minded to release my stuff for free. Even the MUGEN community gets my stuff for frizzle, and that's saying something.
