My stinking computer crashed and destroyed most of my stuff. (I managed to save this game, though). I'm getting a new one, but this really sets me back.

I've changed some of the storyline a little. Now, the initial part is more like this:

Instead of knowing Leo's presence, the mice were completely unaware of him or even of Hamsters.
That is, all but one. Xavier, the blind leader of the rangers. Before he joined their community, he was a traveller and had seen many things in his lifetime, including the Hamsters of the deserts. Although he is usually secretive about his young adventures, he takes an instant liking to Leo and spills out stories to him in private.
Jess, the second highest Ranking ranger and like a sister to Xavier becomes slightly jealous that Leo knows things about Xavier's life that Jess had been trying years to pump out, but it seems that Xavier has his reasons.
Unfortunately, before Xavier can tell his final and most important tale, a powerful hamster called Barinae attacks the house, killing many rangers including Xavier and demanding that a hamster named "Leo" to come with him.
Jess is knocked to tears, as are Xavier's many fans, and they blame the "most logical" cause of this. Leo. The whole house believes that Leo had somehow brought Barinae there, and he is exiled. But Jess is unforgiving, being Xavier's greatest friend, she follows Leo intent on assassinating him, but soon finds herself in a huge mess...
One thing is for sure, though. This isn't the last you'll see of Xavier. Or Barinae.
