They did it in Xenoblade Chronicles a little bit. Always coming at Reyn.

A little bit? Just a little lol?
But yeah... Xenoblade is just so good that I didn't mind it. Part of it was assisted by the fact that I wasn't reading text, but rather hearing voices and watching movements. That kind of banter is easy to do in 3d, but harder to pull off with personality and movement in 2d.

ok. I personally thought the bridge scene went quite well, although there wasn't any sound effects, but regardless. Same with my scene in Iirah, but that wasn't displayed.
But if you'd like, I could change the dialogue to how Tales of Abyss did some of their scenes. Their sprite cutscenes weren't the greatest I have seen.
I still haven't completed Xenoblade, but goddamn were the scenes I've seen so far goood. That being said, do not post any spoilers about it haha

Aw.
The scenes seem fine. If you want them to appear even better you could just make some poses for the characters different expressions and match them with facesets with facialgestures.
Simple things work as well, anything that doesn't force the character to turn around to speak does wonders.
Think there was some spelling mistakes from time to time but no biggie.

UPDATE* Skill shops have been placed where they need to be. Just gotta figure out what to do about the most powerful normal skills. I'm thinking about putting them in dungeons/places and if you somehow miss them, you can always purchase them at the Skill Shop when you complete the Port Muun Revival side quest.
Vash is the only character that gains his skills through leveling up because his can be very useful and will encourage minor level grinding. But with the other skill shops, a character won't be overly powerful no matter how many levels they gain to an extent. Example; you can level up Arte all you want but he won't be able to learn his level three elemental magics or his uber powerful non-elementals until you buy them from a certain place.
Also on the plus side, if you're under-leveled then at least you can buy the more powerful spells, etc. It all works out!
