I also have a mild case of achluophobia like a few of you. Like Felix, I can tolerate it until it's so dark that I can't see anything. At that point, I start freaking out. Trying to sleep during a power outage is fun because I get so anxious that how tired I am doesn't even matter anymore.
Schizophrenia in itself is not a phobia, no. But it's a magical doorway to the wonderful land of phobias. Like I said in my original post, every time I go outside I feel like EVERYONE is watching me. -_-
Out of all the problems I've been diagnosed and acquired. I'm glad Schizo isn't one of them. :/
To be honest, it's not so bad. You're never alone or lonely. XDFor the time being my schizophrenia is manageable (I'm taking medication), so I can make lemonade out of lemons and enjoy it for what it's worth. But I can definitely picture myself a handful of years down the road living in a garbage dumper wearing a tinfoil hat trying to keep my brain safe from the government conspiracy.
@natako and felixDamn, do you guys not keep candles and flashlights at your homes in the US?
the flashlights are upstairs D:
