Yeah. It really snuck up on me. I went in to pick up Pokémon and saw the stacks of Smash Bros. behind the counter. It really threw me off.

It has, I got it on release. 

I don't know if it's just me, but the level 9 computers seem smarter and perfect shield even more often.

Yeah, I feel they're much smarter as well. They dodge and reflect stuff much easier as well, and don't suicide near as much, although it still does happen once in while.
Or well, on 3DS at least. Haven't tried the Wii U version yet. Since I don't have one.

Isn't it just clicking that box that appears on the edge?  Defaults to grabbable but tap it and it change it, no?  I may be mistaken.

In all honesty I have barely played, perhaps due to the fact that I clocked in around 120 hours on the 3DS version.  Beat Alpha Sapphire (I know I know I said I wouldn't get it.  Mega Beedrill man.  I bred one and I have the ultimate Beedrill.  Drill Murray), and now I'm balancing Persona Q and Dragon Age.

Can hatrdly believe that I've had the game for like two weeks now and still haven't unlocked everything yet. Wish i had a little less to do so I could spend some time online and stuff.

Two things that bothers me about the game:

1. The beattle gun that 1 hit KOs you.

2. The UFO that 1 hit KOs you.

The UFO is worse, though. At least the gun requires you to get all three parts. the UFO is just cheap. I, myself, am not too fond of the Smash Ball.
But you will, obviously, unlock "Item Switch" if you haven't already, which allows you to select which items you want, and which you don't.

On 3DS at least. But since this option exists ever since the first (or melee maybe) it probably does on the Wii U.

You're right.  Also the beetle and UFO are single items.  You're thinking of the Daybreaker or whatever it's called.  The beetle is the thing that clamps to u and carries you away similar to the UFO.

I do get mad though when the CPU can perfect shield RIGHT after they do a smash or land.  It's like they ignore frames or some crap.  Or I just suck.  Probably I just suck lol

I just beat all the events on the Wii U one, all of them on hard mode except two (Aura Mastery and the Little Mac one.).

I gotta say, the AI is really ****ing cheap in this one.

I actually find the AI to be pretty much the same as previous games except for the master/ crazy hand and following 3 boss phases. I can't read those. Can't tell hit box from flashy animations. Still trying to find time to train my samus amiibo, hopefully that one will be able to prove more challenge.

And yes, I meant the beetle gun that latches on to you.
