I've been thinking about it and...I think I want my mod powers back. Look I know I went a tad overboard when I had the ability to delete and modify posts, and I am sorry but then again who of us hasn't at one time or another? I know I also was a bit lazy and didn't monitor my board, heck I can't even remember which it was! But I am older and wiser now and I want a second chance to help defend the realm I love. Sides I'm waaaay more active then I was then and am checking this place at least twice a day at maimum, sometimes more when I have a topic of interest on the board. So ...can I haz my semi phenomenal nearly cosmic powers back guys?

Well, while we do have a whole lot of moderators, few of them are active. But then again, there's really no desperate need of moderators these days.

No offence, but I really don't see no need for more moderators and admin on this forum. Specially when about 50% of the active members already are.

Wait. So you can lose moderator powers and there's no chance for promotion here cause all the board's already have one? That's a little sad. So what about Adminship?

Yes you can lose your powers, the system would collapse otherwise. And moderators role is to moderate the boards, and to be honest, the boards don't have an awful lot of posts to moderate these days

That's cause Midnight originally approached me in a PM entitled something like "Pssst! Hey you. Want to be a Moderator?" In my mind it all happened in some shadowy alleyway with her wearing nothing but a trench coat, a fedora, a chastity belt and some sunglasses. She was recruiting me to overthrow the administration and off set the balance of power. Then somewhere along the lines she carried me away to her secret RP forum and we made sweet, sweet pottery.

Well it'd be rather unfortunate if someone you couldn't take moderator powers from deleted all your posts, banned you, didn't do their job, or acted inappropriately - being able to have some checks and balances are certainly necessary.  If someone steps the line  then its hard to trust they just won't do it again.

At some point I feel like I missed that the question of why mods can loose powers evolved into a huge play and I'm just fourth walling it to smithereens at the moment.  Sorry, a little rusty on forum-ing
