New forum theme up and running!
I think I may need to grab Celeste. I just fear it will be too skillful for me, like my problem with Super Meat boy
As someone once put it, it's the hardest game that anyone can finish. The skill ceiling is pretty high, but the game is very clever about teaching you advanced mechanics, training you to use them successfully, and having the most gradual difficulty curve it can possibly have. My realization of this was when, about a year ago, I watched a speedrun of the4 game and had no clue what was happening. Then, a few months ago, I watched another one and realized that literally everything I saw was within my skill set, just very highly polished. It's wild how well the game helps you to get good. One of the biggest things it has going for it is that it separates the levels into A-sides, B-sides, and C-sides, with all the story being on the A-sides, and the real challenge coming from the B and C-sides.
