Armored Core: Raven Eater

I've been working on this far a while, and it's finally starting to take shape.  Anyone familliar with the Armored Core games should enjoy this immensly.  However, even if you have no clue what I'm talking about when I say Armored Core, you'll probably enjoy this game if you like:

The game takes place primarilly in Layered, an enormous underground city dominated by an AI known as the controller.  For those who have played the third installment in the Armored Core series, you'll remember a lot of the missions and situations.  The second half of the game expands the area to include new locations featured in Silent Line (the sequel to AC3,) as well as some completely new battlegrounds.

Right now, I'm working on a mission-based style of gameplay.  The game will be a little bit like Xenogears; your team of four pilots (including your character) will fight both in and outside of their mechs (Armored Cores, or ACs.)  The AC's stats will be based on equipment.  To keep the feel of the game, your AC will have anywhere between 6000 and 9999 max health at all times (The enemies strength will be pumped up, too.)  When you're not in your AC, your characters will have normal stat growth and HP.

Last but not least, for those familiar with the series, expect the return of a few familiar situations: old Layered, old corporations (CHROME and Murakumo Millenium), as well as an old villain.

I don't have much now, but you can expect some screenshots soon (I'll have a title screen up by the end of the day.)  The beta should be ready later this summer.

EDIT: I forgot to mention this, but I would like to thank Dark Fox for the title.  "Raven Eater" was back when DF had a vendetta agianst me for reasons I'll not discuss.  It turns out that the mercenary force you belong to in the AC games is called "The Raven's Nest", with each individual merc being a "Raven."  I put two and two together and finally came up with a halfway decent title.  Thanks DF!
