I'm not entirely sure how CNN conducted that survey, but I don't really see a rueben sandwich as a #3 favorite food on a national level. I personally see it as a regional food, mainly on the east coast around the New York area. Same with Philly cheese steaks.

I googled poutine out of curiosity and it actually sounds delicious. Also I am intrigued by the idea of "ketchup chips". Aren't all chips just dipped in ketchup anyway? I mean, to me it just sounds like "mustard hotdog", it's kinda redundant.

Around here in Chicago the top 3 foods would definitely have to be our world famous deep dish pizzas, hotdogs, and... gyros, go figure about that last one. We have a sizable amount of Greek restaurants around here.

Chips in Canada (and I think in the northeast united states) mean potato crisps, unless they're served with fish in which case they mean fries (it's kind of weird). Causes some confusion when Canadians order fish and chips in the states and get a bag of chips with their fish, or in some states get a bag of chips with their burgers...which strikes me as odd because who wants to eat chips with a burger?

So ketchup chips are potato crisps with powdered ketchup on it and it's ridiculously delicious. We actually have more flavours of potato chips than in the U.S., so my cousins always buy them up when they're here. We have ketchup, barbecue, dill pickle, sour cream and onion, all dressed, bacon, pizza flavoured, etc.
