In this world full of Darkness and Light both needing to exist to equal out the existence of life.Darkness the things that drive us to do brutile things and Light what drives us to help others. Both of these Darkness and Light dwell inside of everyone. But if you where to deny one of them it would be build up until it cannot be contained. Now someone tries to Master the Darkness and will try to lock it away forever all that would be left is a Pure World. But The Darkness Cannot Be Contained For Long.

Very cliché like story. You should change it to something else than 'light vs. dark'.

Its not really Light Versus Dark thats gust the easiest way to explain it picture it like this.Everyone has a Sinfull Side and a Sinless side. Its gust really explaning that everyone has two sides one that causes them to Do Right and one That causes Them To Do Wrong which is The Darkness.By the way what I typed up there isn't the story its gust the intro to the game.

It seems that you could have a lot of fun with that story if you want. Since light and darkness are part of the balance, sealing away the darkness could cause massive problems once you actually do it. The pure world might not be very good at all, and when you try to unseal the darkness and restore the balance, the forces of light could try to stop you since they would be in full control. Just something to think about.
Having the player characters in battle stand on their own little stat area is kind of silly.

Thanks for your suggestion SaiKar and blame xp for the battle stance.I could use a script to use side view like in rpgmaker 2003 but eh I gust don't really want to.Since I already went through the trouble of editing the charcater pictures to make them actually look cool.

Sounds good. Like Sephiroth Rocks said, it sounds a
bit of a cliché.....

I'm gust wondering why your calling it cliche when I havn't even said anything about the story or plot of the game yet.Like I said what i Typed was gust beginning dialogue it has something to do with the plot but not what your thinking of.Its gust a small minor piece of the whole plot of the game. When I post more screenshots i'll tell more about the plot.

You know... that RMXP default battle system... really looks sucky... now that I see a screenshot of it... OI... whoever thought of puttin full scale player graphics facing the player must have been nuts.
It gets in the way, a faceset would have been suffecient enough.
Sorry that it's unrelated but seriously, who in thier right mind would have a default battle system like that?! I think the current fadulant (lol, fadulant) style is the diagonal style where you see characters either in a left-up angle or a right up angle.
Or is it the Tactics style? Like FFT. I'm not sure, but it's certainly not the style sported in RMXP.

Yeh It does kind of suck but owell. It doesn't really bother me.But I don't feel like useing the sideview for rpgmaker xp.But there is to much focus on the battle system I mean come on who cares great games like The Way,A Blurred Line,Romancing Walker, and Legion Saga had the crappier rpgmaker 2000 battle system and they were great for there story not the battle system.

Yeah the dbs sucks, but theres not much you can do since there aren't any good cbs's or battle gfx are made yet.
Anyway, I think all this negitive feedback about games with a few cliche parts is rather stupid. I've seen some games with cliche stories that turned out really good, its all in the way you present your game. If you start it off with text like "so and so is evil, then got traped by such and such by the power of some crystals, now someone is trying to free so and so by destroying the cyrstals, you are mankinds last hope.." thats going to far. But if your game has some cliche parts it could still be great if you present and develope the story right.
Besides almost everything is considered cliche now...
anyway good luck.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

I like it, You know, it is a little cliche, but like Dragonblaze said... Everything's cliche now a days. Besides, This kind of thing isn't EXACTLY common. You could make it more of a fight for power than a save the earth game, and that would make it interesting.
