I hate Thanksgiving... My mom gets so angry when she's cooking everything that she yells at everybody for little things...

It was not musketts and riffles that killed off the natives, but diseases. And that was at least somewhat unintentional.

Thanksgiving, unlike Christmas, is not a commercially corrupted holiday. It is a time to look back and be thankful for what you have, not look forward and cry for what you want. One of the best holidays of the year.

Even if you are not a citizen of the US, at least try to show some respect for the concept.

im a citizen...diseases was only part of the problem...america wanted to "expand". so they took over.

Eh... sorta... Actually, when the Spainish first set out to conquer the Natives, they won mainly due to their supperior weapons, seeing as how the Natives massivly outnumbered them. But eventually, they were passing through a very large Native city, and a few men were sick. They left the men behind, and thier very mild and common diseases eventually killed off more Natives than all the battles put together. THEN when the pilgrams came over, literally the few Natives that were left helped them to survive, the very ones that killed off most of their people and put them into slavery. Many years later, how do we repay them? By using what they had taught us and becoming proficient at it, we decided to expand, however, they wanted their land, but because they were the white people (used to having all the power in Europe) naturally they took it by force, and they had no use for them anymore.

(I guess paying attention in History comes in handy...)

You shouldn't have thanksgiving if your going to be an *** and protest about indians dying and stuff. Thanksgiving is aobut being thankful, and stuffing your face with food, but in today's "let's all talk about how bad some people are so we can look smarter and feel better about all the stupid things we've done" society it must be "cool" to condemn me for eating my turkey instead of dancing around the fire honoring the indians.

BTW, peas and potatoes is awesome. All mushy and gushy and gewd.

Because this was the day many years ago that the evil turkey warlords tried to take over the world. Finally the enslaved humans managed to burn his stronghold and afterwards feasted on their cooked carcasses, and it was delicious with a side of cranberry sauce. It also so happened that he was having a meeting with the cranberry sauce emperor and King Porkius whom were also consumed!

And now since they are now we eat them to keep their numbers down so they can never enslave us again!

Or maybe it was just the native edible bird...
