Alright, time to think about a next issue. Anyone who DOESN'T want to be spoiled by all the stuff in the next issue is best not to read this thread.
Because Charas is so un-yeildingly borning news-wise, I need some ideas for articles in the next issue. I'll list the ones I have below, and I need you guys to suggest others. This is also the place to claim an article to do.
So once we have a few ideas going around, and I approve them, anyone can take an article, claim it, make it(preferrably HTML, but at this point I have yet to set up a template that works with the holder page, so I can accept a text file zipped with at least one image.), and email it to me or send it to me over msn. (both at
zmen8@msn.com
, or Osmose1000 at AIM)
Ideas that are sure to be in the next issue:
Comics
Member feature - Members who's sprite work has gotten my attention, and other people's attentions too.
Word From the Editor - My own small lil bit of a soapbox
Few Ads - Some pages might have an ad for someone's website, NOT for funding, but for a person who's site deserves it. (For the next issue I am actually going to do a full page ad for a friend, but mostly it will be small banners. Anyone can submit an ad, but if it is showed or not is another issue.)
Game Feature - Article on a recommended game, can be RPG Maker or actual console.
Temp Ideas(That are for one time articles):
Smiley Contest Entries and/or Winner
Dead Topics which deserve to live again
Spriters Challenge - Take a bchar given and morph it into what we request to win a one page ad in the next magazine.

How about that Ask Ann thing, where people ask questions and someone answers it in the magazine? I would be willing to do that.

SON OF A FEMALE CANINE! Wrong forum! X_x
Someone move this, please.
Anywho, that could work..... sounds good, yes. But whoever answers the questions would have to be a know it all. First person to claim it can make a thread, but Warxe gets dibs first.

How about some of those.... I dont know the name, those pages where readers send drawings to put in there.
And page for comics, comics about charas, like you did in the first one, we could use the bttle chars as sprites or someone who have a scanner could handdraw it.

Wasn't sure if making a new thread for this would be prudent, so hopefully would be article writers will see this(and it's only 12k, not really mooching bandwidth), but the attached zip file includes a test holder page, article page, and header image. Use it to type up and test run any of your articles. All parts of the article are to go in the "page1.html" file, unless they are for a seperate page. If your article goes beyond the limits of the iframe, make it a second page, AKA page2.html.
There are a few things in the holder page you can change to make it move between the two pages, but the only thing you really have to change is the url within the iframe tag. Change it to the filename of whatever you want to test, and viola, your done. Happy article-making.
Oh, and please step things up. My weekend is going to go towards organizing this, and getting some support from those who wanted to write an article would help, you lazy bums.

Hmm...
How about a survey or quiz of some sort? Maybe something like "Are you mod material?" or something else like that.
Or how about a poll? We could have a question that relates to Charas somehow, and people could vote. There's a couple of free poll creators out there, so we could use those.
EDIT: I know! How about a "How-to" article! We could do a topic like "How to Draw a Charset" or "How to Write a How To Article".

I know more of you promised to help in some way. Don't make me call out your names, that would just be embarassing.
