If you're referring to requests, then it's because no one likes a person who can't do anything by themselves and has to request everything.

well out of all people in this community, only a few do requests. the rest are here for the same reason. So what you mean to say is you're in a sea of untalented people.

Dude, I got an "advice" for you...Whenever you do something on your own, it feels more valuable, unique. Plus you can say "FVCK YOU ALL THAT DIDN´T HELP ME! I CAN DO IT ON MY OWN!"

BUT, if you are talentless as me, try doing it by yourselft once. If you screw up, I bet someone (such as Warxe, that would never refuse to make you a tut, for example) will help you.

It doesnt really matter if your sets and such suck.  The majority of the ones I create suck.  If you make it yourself, then at the end of the game, you can actually take credit for some part of it, instead of having an hour long credits list.  Besides, most people focus more on gameplay, storyline, etc. more than wah tthe sprites look like.

Making requests and such are fine and all, but you should try to make something yourself before making a request, its the only way to get better. About three years ago I needed some dragon charsets for my game, but instead of asking other people to make them, I tried on my own. At first they really sucked, but by and by they gradually got better untill they were pretty good. And now I can even make good rmxp sprites. I couldn't do anything close to what I do now if I always asked other people to do it for me.

Its not that we're uncaring, its just that most people who take requests are working on projects of their own, and simply don't have the time to do everyone's request.

I wish I could help with request, but I kinda signed up for a bit too much, and now I've fallen really far behind

Yeah, making your own is the best option. I mean in my game, SoulClash, my main character battlechar was my first, and it feels so special. XD

Besides, that Umara battlechar I did for you was only my second, and you said it was good. So you never know, you might find that you're better than you thought.

The sad truth is that if people see a thread called

"Yo me name's BlackIceAdept, I needs request!"

and one called

"Hey It's MSlash I've made great friends with you all, have known you ages, contributed to the forums, could you do a favour for me?"

They're gonna do MSlash's request. And not yours. My advice is do less request threads and you won't be seen as someone who takes advantage of the forum to get requests.
